If the Trustee is unable to convey title for any reason, the successful bidder's sole and exclusive remedy shall be the return of monies paid to the Successor Trustee and the successful bidder shall have no further recourse. Trail 802 closed for reconstruction and improvements
COEUR d’AlENE – A section of the Huckleberry Trail 802 (see map) near Fernan Saddle on the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District has been temporarily closed to protect public health and safety as operations begin to reconstruct the trail. Concerns with the amount of OHV use on Trail 802 while heavy equipment is operating in the area warranted the closure. The closure includes Huckleberry Trail 802 from the junction with the CDA Deception Creek Road 612, along Windy Ridge to the junction with Forest Service Road 206 and Railroad Grade (starts at the end of Ohio Match Road) at Burnt Cabin Summit. The closure is expected to be in effect for up to three weeks.

Dorothy Eleanor Battleson
Dorothy Eleanor Battleson passed away peacefully, in the arms of her family on June 14, 2019 at the Schneidmiller House (Hospice House) of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Dorothy was born September 4, 1935 in Garfield, Washington to Willard and Alice Adams. She graduated from Tekoa High School in 1953 and continued her education at Kinman Business University in Spokane. She spotted a handsome young man, arranged through friends to meet him and shortly after, married the love of her life, Don Battleson, on September 15, 1955 in Coeur d’ Alene. They settled in Wallace where they raised 4 children. Don was the station agent for Union Pacific Railroad and Dorothy managed a very busy household. She was an active member in Laureate Tau of Beta Sigma Phi for over 50 years. She loved music and gardening, having spent many years creating a beautiful rock garden next to the bike trail in Osburn where she and Don lived. She continued living in Osburn after his passing in 2013 and eventually sold her home and moved to Post Falls last year to live with her daughter, Lynn. She was happiest spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All who knew her considered her a surrogate mom; she was a kind and generous spirit.

Students replicate historic Old Montana Trail Sign
ST. MARIES – Wood shop students at the St. Maries High School helped rebuild a historic trail sign for the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Located at Conrad Crossing, which is approximately 75 miles east of St. Maries, Idaho along Forest Highway 50 on the St. Joe Ranger District, the Old Montana Trail interpretive sign was first constructed in 1978 by Boy Scout Troop 485 out of Opportunity, Washington.
