Yola Mae (Richardson) Mayfield, 89, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away Aug. 1, 2020.

Yola was born in Joplin, Mo., on June 17, 1931, to Robert and Charlotta Grace Richardson. She was married to Floyd Leon Mayfield on March 18, 1951. They raised their family in Wallace, Idaho.

Yola was a homemaker and lovingly raised five children. She was very active in their lives and the lives of their friends. She was a Camp Fire Leader, Ceramic Teacher and volunteered in numerous activities involving her children.

Yola enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting, playing pinochle, and various arts and crafts projects. She shared her passion for this by passing her knowledge down to her children and grandchildren. Her legacy continues to follow with these skills learned as her children pass them onto their children and grandchildren.

Yola is survived by her daughters, Sharon Nelson of Mullan, Idaho, Sheila Mayfield of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Kimberly Mayfield of Coeur d’Alene; daughter-in-law Terrie Capparelli; sons-in-law Jack Wolfe, John Nelson and Mac Casavar; grandchildren Marissa Wolfe, Jennifer Nelson, Kendra Toland, Kresta Gribble, Angela Starkey, Matthew Walker and Kristen Walker; and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Yola is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Floyd L. Mayfield; daughter Suzetta Wolfe; son Dale Mayfield; grandson William Nelson; her parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Due to the COVID pandemic, a memorial will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Day’s Cemetery in Osburn, Idaho.
