On Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020 — the Lord’s Day — Jeanette Elizabeth James, 76, of Pinehurst, Idaho, went to join our God in Heaven. She passed away at North Idaho Hospice in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was born Nov. 4, 1943, in Alton, Mo., and was the daughter of Otto and Helen Waller.

The family moved to the Silver Valley in the mid-50s from Alton. Jeanette graduated from Kellogg High School before marrying Gary James Sr. in 1961.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Gary James Sr.; sons Matthew James, Gary James Jr. and Kerry James; sisters Chloetta Derr, Cleora Lambert and Glenda Sawyer; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her son, Michael Dean James; her parents, Otto and Helen Waller; sister Linda Swan and brother Olaf "Len" Waller.

Cremation was held by English Funeral Chapel and her life will be celebrated with a private family ceremony.

Jeanette was a member of The United Methodist Church in Kellogg, Idaho. Jeanette’s life work was her devotion to taking care of her husband, children, extended family and friends – along with an unwaivering faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. As a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma and friend, Jeanette went above and beyond throughout her life to provide support. She enjoyed nature – animal watching, fishing on the lakes and rivers, and spending time with family in the outdoors.

We pray Lord that you welcome and comfort her as she did for so many throughout her life — we miss you mom, thanks for always being there…
