Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Oct. 1-7

• Dispatched to the 10 block of Jacobs Gulch for narcotics violation. Report was taken and drugs were seized.

• Assisted K75 with a warrant arrest on the 10 block of E. Cameron. Cleared, agency assist.

• Called to Yoke's for a possible drunk driver ended up giving him a curtesy transport home. Cleared, public assist.

• Landline request. Turned out the person was looking for Kellogg, Ore. That was a new one for me. Now Kellogg, Iowa — we get those calls all the time.

• Dispatched to a welfare check at the intersection of Bunker Avenue and W. Cameron Avenue. Dispatch told me someone was dancing with a stop sign pole K77 was unable to locate said individual.

• Attempted paper service on the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue twice. Both times I was unable to make contact.

• Citizen contact on the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue regarding status of a pending case. Individual was referred to the court house.

• Conducted a traffic stop on the 500 block of W. Cameron Avenue. Verbal warning was given for traffic infraction.

• LL request regarding coyotes attacking animals. Cleared, public assist.

• Assist County with stolen vehicle out of Osburn. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Assist K79 with suspicious circumstances at Teeters Field. Cleared, agency assist.

• Fire alarm at Morning Star Lodge Building D. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Assist County with domestic in progress at in Wardner. Cleared, other agency assist.

• While patrolling K79 spotted two juveniles duck under the Hill Street Bridge. Cleared, NAT.

• K75 was in route to the Cameron Conoco to get a Red Bull when… He located a wanted subject out of our County. He cleared misdemeanor arrest. But there is more to this story. While searching the wanted subject, he stated that he didn't have anything on him because last time he got arrested, an item fell from his waistband and he "forgot" about it and then brought the illegal substance into the jail… well I guess he didn't learn and again he brought drugs inside his sock and… dun dun dun… after a more detailed search, detention staff located a small wad of a tar-like substance near his “coin purse.” Some hair might have been pulled out during the removal of said substance. Props to detention staff.

• Assisted District 2 fire with a false fire alarm on the 600 Block of Bunker. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Dispatched to a parking complaint on the 10 block of E. Cameron Avenue. Cleared, public assist.

• Citizen contact on at Kellogg Police Department regarding personal property. Said property was returned to the individual.

• Handled a landline request regarding passing on information about a registered sex offender.

• Attempted paper service on the 700 block of Bunker Avenue and the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue. Unable to make contact.

• Mobile patrols of Kellogg.

• VIN inspection 600 block W. Riverside.

• Civil paper service, attempted x2.

• Training online.

• Traffic stop at Bunker and Hill for out taillight. Cleared, verbal.

• Assisted county with putting dogs in the pound. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Took a landline request regarding an unauthorized sale of a vehicle. Investigation is on-going.

• Conducted paper services on the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue and the 700 block of Bunker Avenue. Was able to serve one individual, negative contact with the other.

• Handled a landline request regarding a vehicle being tagged for removal.

• Landline request regarding tagged vehicle. After speaking with the person, the vehicle has NOT been tagged, they were asking if it was. The vehicle is currently registered, they took the plates off as Insurance company was/is supposed to be getting it. Advised to put the plates back on until the insurance company comes to get it and problem will be solved.

• Suspicious vehicle 100 block E. Portland. NAT.

• Extra patrol request. Extra patrols carried out throughout the night.

• Traffic stop in the Casa De Oro parking lot for an equipment violation. Verbal.

• Welfare check on Bunker Avenue. Located person in Montana. Code 4.

• Patrolled Bunker Avenue during school lunch.

• Unwanted person on Elm Street. Some guy in a sweater named Freddy. Cleared, unable to locate.

• Had to check the pound to see if there was room for a new in-custody from the county. After checking, county decided they weren't bringing the dog in.

• Traffic stop W. Cameron/Thorn. Verbal for speed.

• Traffic stop Hill/Railroad. Verbal for distracted driving (cellphone use).

• Landline request. Person hung up on me. Chief was in the parking lot and the person wanted to talk to him more than me.

• Parking ticket issued E. Riverside/Division, parked in yellow at curb.

• 10 block W. Mission. Located open door on a vehicle. Contacted owner and nothing was missing, child did not close the door all the way.

• Traffic stop W. Cameron/Oregon. Verbal for distracted driving (cellphone).

• Placed a dog in the pound from the county.

• Found property turned over. Believe it was found on Legion. Contacted owner of said property (no longer in Kellogg) and they no longer need it. It was taken to the Kellogg Police Department and shredded.

• Traffic stop E. Portland/Emerson. Citation issued for insurance.

• Marked a vehicle for 48-hour removal on Teddy Avenue next to 800 block of W. Park.

• Called to 100 block W. Idaho for unlawful entry in progress. Cleared, NAT.

• Disturbance in progress 100 block of E. Portland. Report taken for malicious injury to property.

• Request for assistance Clearing a building. Cleared, public assist.

• Landline request regarding missing bicycle. After speaking with the person, they could only say it was silver. Advised to call back if they had anything else to go on, as we have many bicycles to choose from.

• Traffic stop Hill Street Conoco parking lot. Verbal warning for expired registration (title transfer in progress in order to get temporary registration) and improper turn (Railroad Avenue did not use the turn lane in order to turn).

• Assisted county with Domestic in Moon Gulch/Elk Creek. Non-physical and verbal only.

• Assisted K74 with traffic stop/warrant arrest on Hill and Bunker. Cleared, agency assist.

• Naloxone training.

• Assisted K77 with traffic stop on S. Division and Station Avenue. Cleared, agency assist.

• Conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Station Avenue and S. Division Street. Citation issued for multiple civil infractions.

• Conducted foot patrol on Bunker Avenue, W. Cameron Avenue, W. Riverside, E. Mullan Avenue, E. Portland Avenue, McKinley Avenue, W. Idaho Avenue, E. Idaho Avenue and Main Street.
