| October 20, 2020 9:47 AM

Wes Evans announced Thursday that he is running for the Kootenai-Shoshone Soil & Water District supervisor.

As a local cattle and hay farmer, he cited sustainable agriculture practices and land conservation as his top campaign issues.

Evans, besides operating a sustainable farm for over 29 years in south Kootenai County, recently retired after 42 years working in Christian school education.

“The Kootenai-Shoshone Soil & Water Conservation District needs good leadership that works with farmers and landowners in continuing the practices of land conservation and sustainability," Evans said.
