KPD Roll Call: Sept. 2-9

• Citizen Contact 500 block of Main. Individual worried about persons hanging out around skate park. Cleared, NAT.

• Dispatched to 200 block McKinley Ave. for persons claiming they were overcharged. Cleared, public assist.

• Dispatched to possible 8004 driver Cameron and Elm. Cleared, unfounded.

• Foot patrol S. Division, McKinley, Portland, Main and Kellogg City Park.

• Follow up on reports at 500 block Chestnut.

• Assisted county with 911 texting service. Cleared, other agency assist.

• 911 hang-up x4 Silver Mountain condos. Prior to arrival, dispatch was able to make contact with residents and all is good as they were trying to dial out from the room (common as a 9 is required prior to dialing along with a 1 following). Canceled.

• Landline regarding possible missing person from last night (K79 handled the call). Family has spoken with the subject and there is less concern now, just needed to leave for contemplation. Advised to call back if anything changes or subject does not return.

• Conducted a welfare check on the 400 of W. Brown Avenue. Individual turned out to be A-O-K.

• Took a dog to the pound from an Idaho State Police arrest in Smelterville. Family members picked the dog up later on.

• Parking violation on Station Avenue. Spoke with owner and gave a verbal warning.

• Traffic complaint on the 700 block of Bunker Avenue. Reporting party wanted to provide law enforcement with information regarding unauthorized use of a vehicle on private property. I will be speaking with owners on my next shift about the issue.

• Conducted a traffic stop on the 900 block of McKinley Avenue. Gave a verbal warning for a moving violation.

• Foot patrol Kellogg City Park.

• Assisted county with a fleeing suspect, Smelterville. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Dispatched to suspicious vehicle 200 block flume. Cleared, misdemeanor cite and release.

• Dispatched to a noise complaint 600 block Bunker Avenue. Cleared, verbal warning given.

• Dispatched to noise complaint 500 block W. Mission, possible gunshots or fireworks. Cleared, unable to locate.

• Stopped and spoke with juvenile on motorcycle (pit bike). K74 has had numerous contacts with this kid and now advised him he is not allowed to ride in town without adult supervision. Verbal warning.

• Responded to the 10 block of Diamond Street for possible harassment. Spoke with reporting party and discovered no crime. Advised the individual to contact the court house for more assistance.

• Hmmm K75 thinks he is some kinda rockstar now. Everybody loves huddy-ur-buddy.

• Dispatched to the 200 block of W. Cameron Avenue for aggravated assault. Conducted a investigation and discovered no aggravated assault took place. I was able to calm all parties involved and restored peace.

• K78 is off to POST. Like I said before, "they grow up so fast."

• Handled a landline request regarding suspicious activity. Reporting party wanted me to know about a road rage incident which occurred. Individual told me the person left long before calling me.

• Dispatched to verbal domestic in progress 400 block Brown Avenue. Clear parties were separated for the night.

• Dispatched to a disturbance in progress 100 block E. Portland. Cleared, unfounded.

• Foot patrol Kellogg City Park.

• Citizen contact, three juveniles on 10 block of N. Division for playing in the road. Cleared, verbal.

• Citizen contact with two individuals on bikes riding with no headlight. Cleared, verbal.

• Tagged an abandoned vehicle on the 900 of McKinley Avenue.

• Dispatched to a welfare check on the 400 block of W. Brown Avenue. Checked on the individual in question and discovered they were A-O-K.

• Responded to the 300 block of W. Cameron Avenue for found property. Recovered said property and placed it at KPD for safe keeping.

• Concerned citizen contacted me and told me there is unusual unattended property lying near the bike path between Kellogg and Smelterville. Recovered the property and stored it at the Kellogg Police Department.

• Assisted county with a burglary alarm on Commerce Drive. Cleared the area, but located no burglars.

• Traffic stop at E. Market and S. Division for stop sign violation. After a small investigation, subject was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

• Traffic stop in the NAPA parking lot for speed, verbal.

• Dispatched to the 800 block of W. Cameron Avenue for malicious injury to property. Spoke with the victim however refused to provide me with any information.

• Responded to the 400 block of S. Division Street for a lost child. Shortly after arriving on scene, I located the parents who were out looking for their child. Little fella decided to sneak out of the house when mom wasn't looking. Child was returned home.

• Agency assist in the Walmart parking lot, female possibly under the influence of narcotics in the parking lot with children. County arrived at the same time. Cleared, immediately referred to other agency

• County assist at Walmart. Child custody issues turning heated. Assisted until county arrived then cleared.

• Wealth and welfare assist on Elm Street. Code 4 cleared assist.

• Missing person call and the Amy Lynn's. Person located.

• Driving complaint on Portland Avenue. Located vehicle. Verbal warring.

• Unwanted subject 400 block W. Brown. Non-criminal and parties were separated for the night.

• Disturbance 300 block W. Cameron. Unfounded.

• Suspicious person in the alley behind Cameron Conoco and Les Schwab with a baseball bat. Located subject, he was hitting balls down the alley and back. Advised him to take batting practice elsewhere.

• During patrols, numerous items were removed from the roadways (debris from the wind). Lots of tree branches got "trimmed" today.

• Contacted subjects in the City Park with metal detectors. Advised no digging allowed and they decided to leave. They were super nice and understanding (that is not sarcasm).

• Report of juveniles being rambunctious. This took place when K73 and a deputy were dealing with a traffic stop and nothing nefarious was seen. Unfounded.

• Parking ticket issued 100 block Pressley Avenue.

• Called to 300 block W. Mullan for civil standby.

• Called to 100 block E. Portland for possible 37 code.

• Called to Amy Lynn's for disturbing the peace. RP was willing to sign citation. Ended up turning into resist obstruct and battery on officer. Cleared felony arrest.

• Assisted K75 with foot pursuit, male was taken into custody for battery on an officer X2 and resist obstruct. Cleared, agency assist.

• Radar patrol Station Avenue.

• Petit theft call Bunker Avenue. Item returned.

• Petit theft at Yoke's. Item also returned.

• Evidence work.

• Hit and run on Oregon Street. Report taken.

• Contacted subject in parking lot of the Kellogg Police Department regarding cellphone issues. They are receiving messages they do not want, not through the phone or an app, but via the internet and possibly an email account. They were unsure about even having an email account.

• Landline request regarding suspicious activity 700 block of Howard. After speaking over the phone, extra patrols requested in the area.

• Suspicious vehicle at Kellogg City Park. Individual parked wrong and sleeping at the wheel. Individual was code 4. He doored up with a friend prior and after speaking with said friend fell asleep.

• Welfare check on the 300 block of E. Portland. Cleared, everything was code 4.
