Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Sept. 16-23

• Handled a landline request regarding malicious injury to vehicle. Turned out to be a civil issue due to the owner of the vehicle allowing the suspect to use the vehicle for quite awhile.

• Took a dog into the pound from Pinehurst PD.

• Picked up drug paraphernalia on the 10 block of W. Market Street.

• Assist K76 with citizen contact at the Silver Inn. Cleared, agency assist.

• 911 call on the 700 block of upper Third for found dog. Cleared, dog is in the pound. Dog is a yellow lab female with a purple collar.

• Citizen contact on the 10 Block of E. Cameron for a person being drunk. Gave courtesy ride to house. Cleared, public assist.

• Patrolled Bunker Avenue and E. Cameron Avenue.

• Evidence work.

• Follow up on Abandoned paperwork.

• Conducted a warrant service on the 800 block of Bunker Avenue. Individual was arrested and booked into jail.

• Dispatched to a possible domestic on the 100 block of E. Portland Avenue. Spoke with both parties and they denied any fighting taking place. Report was taken.

• Responded to the 700 block of McKinley Avenue for an open line 911 call. Checked everyone at that location and discovered no one in need of law enforcement assistance.

• Citizen contact on E. Idaho and E. Portland near the storage containers. They were just using Wi-Fi.

• Dispatched to a K incident on the 100 block of W. Mullan Avenue. Report was taken.

• Land line from Post Falls PD for a welfare check. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Assisted county with a physical domestic in Elizabeth Park/up Alhambra. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Traffic stop at Hill Street and Railroad for stop sign violation, verbal.

• Traffic stop in the Hill Street Conoco parking lot for no tail lights, verbal.

• Contacted an individual on the 500 block of S. Division regarding dog poop in their yard and all over the sidewalk. Gave a verbal warning with instructions to clean up the poop.

• Responded to the 200 block of Main Street for unlawful entry. Checked the building but was unable to locate anyone.

• Handled a landline request regarding a call that Kellogg PD handled on Sept. 17. Reporting party just needed some more information regarding the matter.

• K78 is down at POST doing good, well I think he is anyways, not sure as he forgets to check in with us. At least his .5 still brings us awesome homemade cookies while he is gone.

• Open door 300 block of Main. Cleared, the building with K77.

• Notified of a blight in the 500 block of S. Division — K77 located the residence and spoke with occupants about cleaning dog feces.

• Juvenile disturbance 700 block Bunker Avenue. Juveniles attempting to gain entry to storage shed. Made contact with juveniles and parents and they admitted to trying to look inside. Left it to the parents for punishment. Verbal warning.

• Attempted abduction 100 block McKinley. Upon contact, it was found this took place up Sierra Nevada and this was referred to county. Assisted with collecting information. Referred to other agency.

• Dog found at large 700 block S. Division, dog taken to pound.

• Landline request. This was regarding picking up the dog that was just taken to the pound. They came and retrieved the dog while K74 was still at the pound, fee waived and owner information collected.

• Evidence work.

• Domestic 100 block W. Mullan. Parties separated upon arrival, K76 handled.

• Called to a domestic in the 100 block of Mullan. Cleared, NAT.

• Called to a suspicious circumstance in the 700 block of S. Division. Cleared, public assist.

• Called to a cold domestic on Mullan Avenue. Reporting party did not like the answers K73 gave them as they were the same answers as the officer the night before had given them. Cleared, NAT.

• Vin inspection Railroad Avenue.

• Stolen plate reported on Bunker Avenue. Cleared report taken and plate # entered into NCIC.

• Picked up Dog from the vet in Kellogg. Dog was found on Mullan Avenue. Placed in pound.

• Welfare check 100 block E. Portland, caller stated this could be domestic related. Contacted the parties inside the residence and there was some arguing (nothing criminal) but the call was actually placed for mental health/assistance type help. Assistance was offered and resources given out, took a report just to document. Report taken.

• Traffic stop Hill/under I-90, verbal for vehicle registration (temp sticker was hidden behind dirt, graphics on the window, and tint).

• Dog found running at large 600 block W. Cameron, dog was taken to the pound — small black chihuahua.

• Traffic stop Railroad/Hill. Verbal for speed, driver with warrant out of Oklahoma … they will not extradite.

• Traffic complaint 1000 block McKinley, unable to locate. A van passed on the double yellow west of Galena Ridge. By the time it was called in and relayed, 20 minutes had passed. Spoke with RP and they were unable to identify driver in order to have a citation signed.

• Follow-up for Domestic from last night. Updated information given to necessary parties.

• Called to Gondolier for … well an unwanted subject, I guess. Male only spoke enough English to say that he didn't speak English. Thank goodness for technology and using google translate.

• Called to Wildcat Way and Bunker Avenue for malicious injury to property. Cleared, report taken.

• Assisted county with an 8004 wrong way driver on the freeway, was able to get the female to stop the vehicle, and was taken into custody by county short thereafter. Cleared, assist.

• Called to an unwanted subject in the 100 block of North Street. Cleared, felony arrest.

• Assisted K75 with alarm call in the 400 block of price. Cleared, assist.

• Traffic stop 50 on-ramp for stop sign violation, verbal.

• Retuned back to check on home in reference to the alarm call above, everything was code 4.

• NIBRS training in Coeur d'Alene. The highlight of the day was that K73 got to eat at Taco Bell.

• Evidence sent to the lab.

• Called to a person acting strange in the Broken Wheel Parking lot. Person gone on arrival.

• Parking complaint on Caledonia. Vehicle will be moved in the a.m.

• Traffic stop Cameron Conoco parking lot, verbal for cellphone use (distracted driving).

• Traffic stop 700 block W. Cameron. Citations issued for following: 1) Fail to stop at stop sign. 2) Fail to yield to pedestrian in crosswalk. 3) Possession of Controlled Substance — Marijuana under 3 ounces. 4) Possession of Paraphernalia with intent to use.

• Foot patrols: McKinley, Main, W. Idaho, W. Market, W. Portland.

• VIN inspection 700 block of upper Third. NO ANSWER, pended for day shift as there was no answer (K79 was able to contact subject and complete the inspection).

• Assisted K74 with traffic stop/vehicle search. Cleared, agency assist.

• Traffic stop Hill Street and Yoke's parking lot for traffic sign violation. Cleared, verbal.

• Paper service 400 block Brown Avenue. Cleared, paper served.

• LL request regarding paper service. Cleared, public assist.

• Noise complaint 100 block Mission Avenue. Cleared, NAT.

• Foot patrol. Main, McKinley, W. Market. Division, Mission, Mullan, Elder, Helen and Price.
