Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: March 24-31

• If you were wondering, last week's Roll Call is somewhere on the Evergreen. Not my fault.

• Dispatched to the intersection of Hill Street and W. Mullan Avenue for reports of drug usage. Upon arrival, law enforcement did discover such usage. K76 made an arrest. K77 also discovered reckless driving occurred from another party who left the scene prior to his arrival. More follow-up will be conducted.

• Agency assist. Assist 662 with theft case (suspects live in Kellogg). Cleared, other agency assist.

• Requested by Dispatch to check on a vehicle pending for tow. Vehicle was moved from tagged location however it was located down the street.

• Attempt to locate unlawful entry suspect, described as being inside a vehicle being towed by another vehicle. I-90 westbound, K74 initially heard it as coming from 57 or 47 and it turns out this was in the Montana area. After hearing that K74 cleared from the interstate looking for the vehicle. It was located at 67 in Idaho and the subject was taken into custody by Idaho State Police and county.

• Traffic stop, 500 block W. Cameron, verbal for speed.

• Evidence work and transport to lab in Coeur d'Alene.

• VIN inspection 300 block W. Mullan.

• Called to 100 block W. Cameron Avenue for verbal domestic. Cleared, parties separated peace restored.

• Dispatched to the 400 block of W. Brown Avenue for an out of control juvenile.

• Dispatched to the 600 block of Bunker Avenue for a possible drunk driver. Located said individual and discovered no driving had taken place and the individual did not drive after making contact. Cleared with a warning to the driver not to drive which they complied.

• Assisted K76 with a burglary alarm on the 10 block of E. Cameron Avenue. Individual who attempted to break into the building was located near the scene and arrested.

• Assisted county with a welfare check 10 Block Hill Street. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Called to the Cameron Conoco for a burglary business alarm. Arrived to find the doors to the store smashed. After a short time K77 and K76 were able to track said door smasher and take him into custody. Cleared, felony arrest.

• Assisted K75 with follow up, male on scene had a warrant. Cleared, arrest.

• Suspicious vehicle 3K block of McKinley Avenue. Everything was code 4, vehicle just broke down.

• Motorist assist 49 eastbound on-ramp, driver was just taking a nap before driving on. Cleared, NAT.

• Vehicle accident 100 block E. Portland Avenue. Cleared, infraction citation x3 and report taken.

• Called to civil stand-by 400 block emerald. Cleared, upon my arrival K78 was informed his services were no longer needed.

• Reckless driver on Hill and Cameron Avenue. Unable to locate.

• Called to Silver Mountain for an intoxicated couple that were on their way down the gondola. Silver was worried that they were going to drive home. Yes, they were very intoxicated, to the point that communicating with either of them was near impossible. K73 convinced them to spend the night in a hotel. K73 transported them to a hotel so they could sleep it off. At the hotel neither one of them could find their ID'S or their wallets for that matter. They both were about 5 minutes away from spending the night at the “GREY BAR” hotel on a detox when someone came into the lobby and asked if they could take the two home now. Come to find out that they did not driver here and they had sober friends waiting for them to take them home. So yeah, that took up about two hours of my shift.

• Responded to a burglary alarm on the 800 block of W. Cameron Avenue. Everything turned out to be fine. Morning shift set off the alarm accidentally.

• Traffic stop at W. Cameron and Jacobs Gulch, verbal for temp sticker not displayed.

• Traffic stop 900 block at Bunker Avenue, citation for speed 35/25.

• Traffic stop at 500 block Bunker Avenue, citation for speed 35/25.

• Verbal 48-hour given to owner in 100 block of Presley Avenue for abandoned/non-running/non-registered vehicle.

• Verbal 48-hour given to owner 800 block W. Park Avenue for vehicle on roadway (he should be moving tonight).

• VIN inspection 100 block (the only block) Cathryn Avenue.

• Dispatched to I-90 milepost 48 for a person asking for help. Said person had a felony warrant and was taken to jail. Pretty sure that was not the help he was looking for. Cleared, arrest.

• Dispatched to the 10 block of W. Cameron Avenue for suspicious activity. K73 discovered nothing criminal was taking place and asked said individuals to leave which they complied.

• Assisted District 2 EMS with a medical alarm on the 100 block of E. Cameron Avenue. Turned out to be a false alarm.

• Multiple contacts at Kellogg Police Department, one regarding a stolen vehicle case I am working. Checked the Boss camera(s) and the vehicle was not recorded being over in the Coeur d'Alene area.

• Traffic stop in the 200 block of W. Mullan Avenue for equipment, verbal.

• Unwanted persons 100 block N. Division. Clear, person gone upon LE arrival.

• Traffic stop in the gondolier parking lot for speed, located controlled substance in vehicle, male was cite and released.

• Citizen contact at the Cameron Conoco with a male standing in front of the doors at 1am, Just staring at the door, K76 recognized the male to be currently wanted. Cleared, Misdemeanor arrest.

• Assisted Health and Welfare with a home check. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Two-vehicle crash 700 block Bunker. Cleared, report taken.

• Follow up at Cameron Conoco for K75. Cleared, agency assist.

• Public assist 10 block S. Division.

• Citizen contact for possible shots fired, RP said they were in middle school parking lot, turns out they were actually at Brown and Utah. Cleared, UTL.

• Hit and run at 100 block N. Hill. Cleared, report taken.

• Two dogs at large at McKinley and S. Division. Only able to find one. Placed in pound.

• Released said dog from pound.

• Traffic stop on the 49 on-ramp for stop sign, verbal.

• Assisted K75 with unwanted subject in the 300 block of McKinley. Cleared, assist.

• Assisted 1114 with a traffic stop, not answering status checks, everything was code 4. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Traffic stop in the Cameron Conoco parking lot for stop sign violation, verbal.

• Traffic stop in the 100 block of E. Cameron Avenue. Infraction citation issued for suspended license.

• Suspicious activity alleyway 200 block Mission/Mullan Avenue. Dog broke its lead/chain and got tangled at neighbor’s house. Cleared, public assist.

• Called to NCO violation 300 block Mullan Avenue. Cleared, report taken.

• Domestic in progress at the Trail Motel. Cleared, peace restored.

• Responded to the 200 block of W. Cameron Avenue for a disturbance. Upon arrival K75 and K77 discovered it to be a couple arguing. Parties were separated and peace was restored between the two.

• Parking issue that turned into questions regarding an abandoned camper 600 block S. Division. Cleared, public assist.

• Assist county with a trespass/attempted unlawful entry at the Water transfer station up Government gulch. Was able to locate and detain subject until county arrived.

• Assist Health and Welfare at the Bunker apartments. After investigating the allegations, they were found to be unfounded. Cleared, assist.

• Observed an open gate on Wildcat Way. Checked the property and discovered employees had to reboot equipment.

• Landline regarding welfare check, they did not have address/location for the welfare check to be completed. Advised to call back for welfare check once location is found.

• Musical vehicles, taken to Dave Smith to have key fobs made for new(er) vehicles.

• Dispatched to the 600 block of Bunker Avenue for a 911 open line. Checked on the residence and discovered the individual in question to be A-O-K and was not in need of law enforcement assistance.

• Responded to the 100 block of W. Cameron Avenue for an unwanted subject. Checked the area but was unable to locate said individual. Dave Smith Security had a male wondering around on their lot. Security established contact and homeboy took off running. K77 checked the area and did not observe any property messed with.

• Agency assist. Page area of Smelterville, attempted to locate wanted felon. Unable to locate.

• Animal complaint, dog at large 600 block Second Street, neighbors able to coral the dog and place back on leash at residence. Written warning left at residence (door hanger warning).

• Downloaded and printed paperwork for NIBRS training coming up next month. Sadly, some trees well more like a lot of trees were sacrificed today.

• Worked on non-compliant Sex Offender with request of Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Made contact with subject to turn in Address Verification. Subject agreed this would be the best course of action.

• Traffic stop McKinley and Hill, verbal warning for motorcyclist (dirt bike). Subject agreed it is not a good idea to run through all the gears going down Bunker Avenue.

• Traffic stop Division and Mill, verbal for distracted driving (phone in hand).

• Traffic stop Short and Riverside, verbal for 1) Distracted Driving (phone in hand) 2) Purchase Idaho Driver's License/update change of address.

• Parking issue in the 10 block of E. Mullan Avenue. Owner came out prior to parking ticket being issued for parking in no parking zone, verbal warning given.

• Traffic stop Railroad and Division, verbal for speed, insurance. Citation for fail to have current and valid driver's license.

• Landline request, made contact with person and referred to Shoshone County Sheriff's Office as the alleged incident may have taken place in Mullan.
