Nona Jean Lawley, 90

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Nona “Tomie” Jean Lawley, 90, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away April 22, 2021, at the Mountain Valley of Cascadia Nursing home in Kellogg. She was born April 15, 1931, in Woodward, Okla. Nona was the daughter of Kenneth and Letha (Harper) Gaston.

Nona attended and graduated from Mutual High School Class of 1950. She later moved to the Silver Valley with her family in 1957. Nona was a homemaker raising three children. She also worked at the Kellogg Liquor Store for 20 years until her retirement.

In her free time, Nona enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and traveling. She also loved spending time with her family.

Nona is survived by three children, Dana, Joel Richard "Rick" and wife Rene, and Cheryl Ann; four stepchildren, Don, Tom, Jerry and Mariann; her brother, Jerry and wife Carol Gaston; niece Dorine and nephew Norman; two grandchildren, Joel Casey and Joel Douglas and wife Emily; and two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Raegan. Nona was preceded in death by her parents.

Private family graveside services will be held.
