Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Oct. 13-20

• Follow-up at 700 block Caledonia. Contact was made with resident for blight warning given last week. Confirmed they received the warning and are starting work on cleaning up.

• Fire reported near the river in the location of Station and Elm. Camp fire located north of the river closer to the interstate. Per Fire Dept., this is allowable as long as someone is monitoring (there were people there). Agency assist.

• Several landlines at the office regarding various questions (where to pay fines, take care of citations, do we have DUI classes that we put on for credit, report number request for current investigations to give to insurance company, etc).

• Dispatched to 100 block of E. Cameron for a disturbance in progress. Cleared, NAT.

• Dispatched back to 100 block of E. Cameron for the disturbance again. Cleared, NAT.

• Dispatched BACK to 100 block of E. Cameron for the disturbance. Cleared, unfounded.

• Elk playing peek-a-boo in the cemetery after dark. Scared about 10 years off K78’s life.

• Dispatched to a Welfare check 400 block of Bunker. Cleared, individual was code 4, public assist.

• Called to the 100 block of E Portland for a possible fight in progress. The fight wasn't a fight, the bearded man was causing problems, yelling at people wanting to fight, and intoxicated, couldn't find him anywhere.

• Dispatched to a suspicious person teeters field. Sounds like the bearded man was down at Teeters Field during the game and asking people for weed. Unfortunately, by the time the call was made, the game was over and no one was at the field. Cleared, UTL.

• Towed vehicle at 600 block of Bunker, related to incident from earlier in the week (no report needs to be created as one already was). Nickerson's took possession of the vehicle.

• Landline regarding questions about obtaining property (that we currently have). Explained procedure for return of property.

• Worked on Tasers…that was fun while it lasted, one battery is being returned to be replaced (error/critical fault). This will be a process.

• Traffic stop in the 900 block of W. Cameron Avenue for stop sign, verbal.

• Released a dog from the pound.

• Dispatched to a 911 misuse/welfare check 400 block bunker. Cleared, public assist, caller called 911 saying her heat wouldn't shut off. When K78 arrived, he found her heat actually was stuck on. K78 gave her the non-emergency number for dispatch, as well as the number for the church she wants to get ahold of and the number (that K78 could find) for her landlord. K78 opened her windows and turned on her AC and also fixed her TV.

• Traffic stop S. Division and Second Street. Cleared, verbal.

• Traffic stop W. Cameron and Oregon. Cleared, verbal.

• Traffic stop W. Cameron and Division. Cleared, verbal.

• Traffic stop Main Street and Market Street. Cleared, verbal.

• Traffic stop Division and Railroad. Cleared, verbal.

• Traffic stop I-90 onramp at 51 eastbound. Cleared, verbal.

• Business check: Broken Wheel was open and serving adult beverages but no food yet. Newly remodeled and looking great inside.

• Assisted K75 with a traffic stop on 51 eastbound on-ramp. Cleared, agency assist.

• Assisted K75 with a traffic stop on Main and Market. Cleared, agency assist.

• Assisted K75 with a traffic stop on N. Division and W. Cameron.

• Bar checks at Dirty Dog Saloon and Broken Wheel.

• Called to the 500 block of W. Cameron for a vehicle vs. tree. Citation issued and report completed.

• Called to the 700 block of Howard for a vehicle vs. fence, citations issued.

• Called to the city park for a male "doing strange things." After speaking to the male, he left the park shortly after. Cleared, NAT.

• Called to a person acting strange at the city park. An 83-year-old man riding the spring-loaded seesaw. When asked about it, he stated that he had never seen a seesaw with springs before. He stated that he could ride it by himself. Cleared, NAT.

• Assisted county with a domestic in Kingston. Cleared, assist.

• Assisted county with an out-of-control juvenile in Sunny Slopes. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Possible suicidal subject on the 300 block of W. Mission. Cleared, subject was code 4.

• Landline regarding harassing phone calls, no answer and no voicemail setup.

• Evidence work, lab results received. Printed off copy and placed in investigating officer's box.

• Parking issue at 10 block W. Mullan, no parking on one side of street. Verbal warning given as workers unloading items for yard/housework. Vehicle was moved promptly.

• Landline regarding telephone harassment/stalking, was able to make contact with original RP (from earlier). Statement was given and screenshots of conversation received. Notified of process of taking steps to block the person and/or possibility of applying for Civil Protection Order. Pending receipt of statement.

• Landline regarding welfare check, this was regarding the welfare check done last night. Spoke with family and they will be making contact with subject, no need for LE at this time, will call if needed. They were unaware a check was done the prior evening.

• Traffic stop at I-90 on-ramp westbound at 50. Written warning for speed and stop sign (100 block Railroad onto Railroad and Hill for the violations).

• Dispatched to help recover a lost/stolen cell phone on Mullan Avenue. Lost phone was posted on Facebook as found. However, owner of phone did see said post and pinged the location of the phone and then called it in. Phone was recovered and all parties happy. Cleared, NAT.

• Possible prowler on the 500 block of W. Riverside. Cleared, NAT.

• E-ticket work (let the State know we are ready to go live…no more testing).

• Stationary patrols: Railroad, Bunker, Jacobs Gulch and W. Cameron.

• 911 hang-up at 600 block Bunker. On call back, subject was trying to dial out from Hotel/Motel room, contact was made and everything was OK.

• Parking complaint at 400 block Bunker. After inspection, the vehicle is NOT there during the day. Will notify evening/afternoon shift to monitor, was able to locate a white Jetta parked in front of the building later in the afternoon and tagged it for 48-hour removal. Will attempt to contact owner tomorrow.

• Worked on SWET programming/hardware maintenance.

• Parking complaint. Vehicle left on private property 100 block E. Mullan (in the alley) vehicle tagged for 48-hour removal, contact was made with titled owner and they are going to work on moving the vehicle prior to tow.

• Suicidal subject/welfare check at 300 block W. Mission, made contact and the subject has family there. Public assist.

• Vin inspection at Kellogg Police Department.

• Assisted county with a traffic stop in Pinehurst. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Assisted K79 with an unwanted person 400 block Brown. Cleared, agency assist.

• Reports.

• Made a copy of body cam as requested by prosecutor, for a report from April.

• Unwanted subject on the 400 block of W. Brown. Cleared, subject left the property.
