Kellogg Police Department Roll Call: Sept. 1-15

• Yes K73 is Back. So is someone else.

• Reports (what can be worked on), including follow up on child custody issue. This will be turned into a report and turned into the prosecutor for review. This will mostly be a civil issue.

• Assisted county with an unruly custody hold at SMC. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Agency assist, county with building search in Smelterville at The Sands. Other agency assist.

• Welfare check at 500 block N. Elm, subject was good and information relayed to contact family (they could not get in contact with them).

• Dispatched to a hit & run vehicle accident on N. Division Street. Report was taken.

• Responded to Jacobs Gulch Rd. for an out-of-control patient. Peace was later restored.

• Responded again to Jacobs Gulch hours later for same patient who was reported to be out of control. Turned out to be unfounded as nobody was getting out of hand.

• Assisted county with a warrant arrest on Lower Third Street.

• Dispatched to a suspicious person at Kellogg City Park. Individual in question was asked to leave which they complied (old timer was just hanging out in the bathroom…probably drinking beer. K77 kicked him out).

• Assisted county with clearing an abandoned building in Smelterville which had been broken into.

• Assisted county at SMC with an out-of-control person. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Citizen contact for a noise complaint. K78 was waved down by a citizen to tell him that a neighbor was really loud. K78 asked if the neighbor is currently being loud? The citizen said they were not loud tonight, but they have been loud in the past… K78 told her to call when they are being loud. Thinking the glass of wine that the citizen was holding was not the first of the evening.

• Traffic stop in the gondolier parking lot for stop sign violation, warning issued.

• Traffic stop in the 700 block McKinley for crossing double yellow/fail to maintain lane and nearly striking me in an intersection. Driver was cited.

• Called to the 100 block of E. Cameron for a report of a child running around, child had got the front door open, child was returned to parents.

• Welfare check 200 block of railroad, Medical was dispatched. Cleared, other agency assist… Well, it looks like Steel Reserve is back. Wow that was a quick 60 days.

• Dog at large in the 100 block of North. UTL.

• Dispatched to North Avenue for a parking complaint. Vehicle was moved and a verbal warning was given.

• Welfare check at 300 block Main. Subject reportedly not feeling well. Made contact and medical assistance was refused (declined). Subject got their food and left (Steel Reserve).

• Assisted county with attempting to locate a battery suspect in a vehicle in Kellogg. Cleared, unable to locate.

• Assisted County with a physical domestic in Pinehurst. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Lifeloc performance verification completed at the S.O.

• Called to a parking complaint at the Amy Lynn's for a vehicle in the handicap space, when K78 spoke to the occupant of the vehicle they agreed to move it. Cleared, NAT.

• Dispatched to an intoxicated individual involved in a bicycle accident. Apparently when you drink a lot of beer your balance goes away (Who knew). With that in mind, if you drink lots of beer and then try and ride a bicycle, an ambulance ride is in your near future (not Steel Reserve).

• Possible unlawful entry on the 300 block of E. Idaho. Clear subjects were supposed to be there.

• Disturbance at Bunker and Cameron. Cashier at the Gondolier called, an intoxicated male was being difficult. Cashier asked K78 to make sure that individual left the property. Individual left calmly.

• Assisted county with a domestic in Wardner. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Dispatched to a vehicle hitting building on the 10 block of McKinley. A vehicle that was being towed broke off of its chain at McKinley and Main. The pilot of the towed vehicle managed to not hit the very expensive Hellcat that's usually parked there, and instead hit the corner of 8 McKinley.

• Agency assist initially called out as 'threats' at SMC. Inmate was making statements about walking out and punching someone in order to be taken back to jail so he could try to bond out. Jail admin showed up and took over. Agency assist.

• Vehicle crash at 300 block W. Cameron. Took place in a parking lot and did not appear to be damage to either vehicle. Information was left for persons to exchange insurance info if anything is found to have been damaged. Civil.

• Multiple parking issues 800 block W. Cameron, verbal warnings for parking within 15' of intersection. Bigger vehicles kept blocking view of everyone exiting McDonald's to where they couldn't see the road/other traffic coming. Unfortunately, unable to do written warning via SWET. Vehicles moved without issue.

• In-office note regarding a parking complaint 400 block of E. Portland. Ended up being the 300 block of E. Portland. Vehicle was registered and legally parked. Cleared, unfounded.

• Dispatched to the 10 block of E. Cameron Avenue for an unwanted subject. Individual left the area after contact.

• Dispatched to the 600 block of W. Cameron Avenue for an unwanted subject. Silver Inn called saying someone was acting wired. Checked the area but was unable to locate individual in question.

• Responded to a domestic battery on the 400 block of W. Brown Avenue. Spoke with both parties and they both denied anything physical took place. Parties were separated, peace was restored and a report was taken.

• Landline regarding possible stolen vehicle. Vehicle supposedly taken from SMC. While trying to make contact in person to take report, subject called in stating they located the vehicle and it was not stolen. Unfounded.

• Parking issue. Parking in the no parking zone 600 block of Bunker, person waiting for Jefferson Lines Bus, no parking ticket needed. Verbal warning.

• Threats at 500 block W. Cameron, extra patrols requested. After making calls to find out what took place, there were no threatening statements, nor any statements made about going to the place in question. Extra patrols will commence regardless and unfounded for anything criminal.

• Called to Yoke's for suicidal subject. Male was not suicidal, however crisis center was contacted and sent someone to speak with him as he was not wanting to speak with LE anymore. Public assist.

• Conducted foot patrol on McKinley Avenue, Main Street, W. Idaho Avenue, W. Market Avenue, E. Portland Avenue, Ohio Avenue, Railroad Avenue, W. Cameron Avenue and Legion Avenue.

• Attempt to locate possible DUI/Sleepy driver I-90 exited at 51. Located vehicle parked with nobody around at Dave Smith (perhaps buying a vehicle). Unfounded for traffic violation.

• Traffic stop at 900 block Bunker. Written warning speed 31/25.

• Traffic stop at 500 block W. Cameron. Written warning speed 32/25.

• Traffic stop at middle of Third and Railroad. Written warning for display license plates.

• Worked on ordering tasers (to be continued Monday).

• Called to Galena Ridge for a female worker that was needing an escort to her vehicle, as it was dark out and there was a person walking around the golf course that gave her the creeps. Cleared, NAT.

• Worked on updating laws for the SWET program (to be continued at a later time as it is confusing).

• Assisted District 2 Hose draggers with a fire alarm on the 10 block of Jacobs gulch. Turned out to be a false alarm.

• Traffic stop in the 600 block of Bunker Avenue. Warning given.

• Conducted a citizen contact with a suspicious person on the 400 block of W. Cameron Avenue. After speaking with said individual, it was discovered no crime was taking place.

• Animal complaint on the 300 block of Mission. Cleared, Report taken. Citation will be issued later.

• Called to Silver Mountain for a male upset with hotel staff. ATL the male however he was gone upon arrival, UTL.

• Report of someone behind Les Schwab possibly taking tires. It was just a guy batting a ball around behind the building. Cleared, NAT.

• Report of a broken water main down at the Condo's at the end of Cameron Avenue. Yup it was broke. Lots of water. The water people were able to shut it down and will start working on the repair on Monday morning.

• Commercial burglary alarm on the 800 block of W. Cameron. Cleared, false alarm.

• Possible prowler on the 600 block of Cameron. Cleared, the person was allowed to stay in the parking lot.

• Welfare check at 100 block N. Hill Street for a report of an elderly female in distress. Located said person in the 900 block of Bunker and she requested medical assistance. The ambulance pulled out of the bay and transported to SMC (as we were in the parking lot of the Fire Department). Referred to other agency.

• Worked on taser purchase order.

• Called to Al Bundy at the Cameron Conoco. He is looking a little rough, Peggy must have left him or something. He has not aged well. He was crawling on all fours on the sidewalk. He stated that is how he walks when he is tired (tired from drinking all day, maybe). Conoco gave him water and he did not want medical. K76 later gave him a ride to Wallace for some free room and board.

• Worked on E-ticket codes.

• Parking issue 100 block Elder, contacted owner and vehicle was moved without incident (they were parked momentarily while moving heavy equipment from trailer for maintenance work).

• Noise complaint at 100 block W. Riverside, loud music. Verbal warning given for disturbing the peace.

• Assist K78 with a person with an altered mental state at the Trail Motel. Guy running around naked in the parking lot. Mr. Au Naturel agreed to go to the hospital to get some help.

• Called to SMC for Mr. Au Naturel dude. He again was naked and now running the halls of the ER.

• 100 block E. Portland found lost property…only issue, the lost property was trying to be used by others (dealer plate). License plate on said vehicle did not return to anything and last known registration expired. Vehicle was towed, report taken.

• 10 block E. Portland, verbal warning given for disturb the peace. Also got to show off one of the patrol vehicles to an eager youngling that wanted to see inside a police car.

• Malicious injury to property/unlawful entry at 300 block Maple. Report taken (not in progress and an empty residence…for the time being).

• Dispatched to the 200 block of W. Cameron Avenue for a disturbance. Turned out to be Mr. Au Natural again showing off more than most of us wanted to see. District 2 hose draggers were dispatched and transported individual to SMC.
