SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 2022-02 TITLE 11, SITE DEVELOPMENT, CHAPTER 1, SITE DEVELOPEMENT SUMMARY: The City of Wallace adopted Ordinance #2022-02 on April 14, 2022, amending Wallace City Code Title 11 by repealing the previously enacted Chapter 1, Site Development, hereby adopting a new Chapter 1, Site Development. This ordinance provides definitions; requires permits and approval for certain actions; provides authority and control; outlines application requirements and performance bonds; allowing exemptions to chapter requirements; setting standards for site development; outlining tree trimming as well as the unlawful abuse of trees; provides a process for appeals; provides violations as well as infraction and misdemeanor penalties; and sets an effective date upon publication of this summary. STATE TIMBER SALE CR300697, LAST ELK A public oral auction will be conducted at the Idaho Department of Lands office, 1806 Main Avenue, St. Maries, ID 83861, at 9:00 a.m. local time, on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, for an estimated 10,325 MBF of timber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. In addition, there is an unestimated volume of forest products that may be removed at the option of the purchaser. Prior to bidding, eligible bidders shall present a certified check or bank draft payable to Idaho Department of Lands, or a bid bond acceptable to the State, in the amount of $220,645.55 which is 10% of the appraised net sale value of $2,206,455.50. The successful bidder's deposit will be forfeited to the State should the bidder fail to complete the contract. The State will not accept bids from parties who are delinquent on payments on existing state contracts. The average starting minimum bid price is $221.63 per MBF. SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS AVAILABLE For those students who were in Special Education in the Kellogg, Wallace or Mullan Schools through the year 2014, Silver Valley Special Services COOP will be destroying inactive special education files. Inactive special education files through the year 2014 are scheduled to be destroyed the first week of June 2022. Destruction of these records is the best protection against improper and unauthorized disclosure. Please be aware that if you have special education records on file with the school district, these records may be needed for Social Security benefits or for other purposes in the future.
