| August 3, 2022 4:25 PM

1946-2022

Mary Ann (Mabe) Findley Forcier, 75, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 30, 2022. She was born in Kellogg, Idaho, on Dec. 23, 1946, to Delbert and Pearl Mabe.

She grew up in Kellogg and married Lyle M. Findley in March 1965. Upon Lyle’s death in the Sunshine Mine Disaster on May 2, 1972, she moved her family to the Spokane Valley in 1974. She married William A. Forcier in 1975. Mary Ann and Bill parted ways in 1982 and in 1984 she suffered a brain aneurysm that affected her the rest of her life.

Mary Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She was an incredibly huge fan of Elvis Presley and would not miss Bingo every week if she could help it. In 1978, she was named Mother of the Year in Deer Park. She was also a huge fan of Gonzaga basketball, and she would want it said, “GO ZAGS!” Above all, her faith in our Lord and her strength carried her to the end. Her loving, positive personality was a shining example to all those who encountered her. At the end, she was surrounded by love.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Pearl; her brothers, Jackie, Richard (Dick) and Denny; her sister, Irene Baker; her husband, Lyle M. Findley and her second husband, William A. Forcier. She is survived by her children, Ricky L. Findley, Tammy (Mitch) Wasson, Doug Findley and Phil Forcier; her grandchildren, Michael (Danielle) Gump, Tricia Findley, Katie (Andrew) Lincoln, Alyssa (John) Pohl and Travis Findley; her great-granddaughters, Kaela, Rylie and Avery; her sister, Judy Gilbert and her husband, Larry; her nephews, Jerry Gilbert, Mark Gilbert and Troy Gilbert and their families; and her niece, Laurie (Pete) Hanlon; as well as numerous friends of the family.

Special thanks to the staff at Franklin Hills Health & Rehab Facility for caring for Mary Ann in her final years, and her special friend Cindy Dombrowski.
