Averie Baird scored 12 points for St. Maries, which hosts Potlatch next Tuesday.

KELLOGG — Junior Dani Henrikson had 21 points, 11 rebounds and four assists for the Wildcats in a win over the Miners in the opening round of the Silver Valley Tournament at Andrews Gymnasium. 

Senior Makaila Groth had four assists and sophomore Jordyn Stutzke had 15 points and four steals for Kellogg. 

“We’re a really, really young team with four freshmen playing tonight,” Kellogg coach Jana Nearing said. “I’m proud of them for coming out and holding their own. They all worked hard tonight.” 

Kylee Phillips scored 11 points for Wallace.

KELLOGG –– The Badgers beat the Jaguars at Andrews Gymnasium.

KELLOGG — The Badgers built a big lead early, as they ran away from the Wildcats in the championship game of the Silver Valley Tournament.  

Things went from bad to worse for Kellogg after junior Dani Henrikson picked up her second foul early in the first quarter. The Badgers were able to use their size to bully the ‘Cats.
