John Hansel Putz, 82

John Hansel Putz, 82, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away on April 5, 2017. He was born June 21, 1934 in Houston, Texas. John was the son of Joseph and Mary (Henlez) Putz.

John attended High School in the Houston area. After graduation John joined the United States Army and served as a machine gunner. After being honorably discharged from the military, John went to work for the railroad as a mechanic and put in 46 years before retiring.

In 2004 John moved to the Silver Valley from Texas. In his free time he was always tinkering and building things. He was a jack of all trades. He also enjoyed gardening and growing the best tomatoes.

John is survived by his dear friend Donna Marquette; three children, Johnny, Kenny and Mary and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and two wives.

Cremation will take place and no services will be held per John’s request.
