Karen Lorraine Orchard, 62

Karen Lorraine Orchard, 62, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away April 11, 2017. She was born December 3, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Karen was the daughter of Melvin Orchard I and Jeanne Doughty.

Karen moved to Silver Valley ten years ago from Reno, Nevada. Karen worked at various casinos over the years.

Karen is best remembered for walking her two great Pyrenees dogs around Kellogg.

Special thanks to the Shoshone Pet Rescue for caring for the dogs in Karen’s absence.

Karen married Ron Smith, they later divorced but remained friends.

Karen is survived by her two sons, Justin Hanlon and John Paul Moore both of Kellogg; step-daughter Brooke Smith of Nevada; siblings Cathleen Orchard of California, Rebecca Orchard of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Melvin Orchard II of Salt Lake City, Utah; half-brother David Orchard; one grandson Justin Hanlon Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Paul.
