Work is proceeding as planned with the City of Kellogg’s Sewer Rehabilitation and Replacement Project. Main-line crews working on Phase II of the project are moving East on Cameron Avenue from Chestnut Street and North on Chestnut Street off Cameron Avenue. Service work in these same areas will follow. Once sewer work is completed, work will begin to install new water lines.

Paving on Phase II has been scheduled to begin on Monday, July 31st or Tuesday August 1st. Asphalt will be placed in the alleys North of Cameron Avenue off of Oregon Street. In addition, miscellaneous patching projects will also get underway.

Work on Phase III is expected to get underway the first week of August. The project will begin on the West end of McKinley Avenue and proceed East. Residents along the construction route will be notified prior to work beginning.

As always, we are asking for everyone’s patience as work proceeds. Watch out for pedestrian, especially young children. Remember, the Kellogg City Pool is open to young children free of charge while the sewer project is underway.

Anyone needing special assistance related to the project or who may have questions or concerns may contact Mr. Lewis, Superintendent of Public Works at (208) 786-9131. On weekends, holidays or after hours you may contact Mr. Lewis by calling the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Dispatch at (208) 556-1114 and ask them to contact him for you.
