08/02/2017
0744- EMS crews responded to Lewiston Ave in Pinehurst for a patient with leg pain. Patient was assessed, treated, and taken to Shoshone Medical Center for further treatment.
0823- EMS crews responded to Kellogg for a patient that had fallen. EMS crews evaluated, treated, and transported the patient to SMC.
1157- Fire crews saved the day for a semi-truck trailer that had lost a canopy off the top of its trailer along Interstate 90 in Cataldo. Crews provided a ladder and manpower to put the canopy back in place.
1748- EMS crews Responded to Silver Mountain condos for a female with stomach pain. She was treated at the scene and transported to SMC by ambulance.
1803- Fire crews responded to a fire alarm on Wall Ridge Rd in Kingston. Alarm was false, no fire was present at the residence. The residence is outside the fire district, however it has a fire protection contract with the district.
08/03/2017
0638- Fire crews responded to a fire alarm at Sunnyside Elementary School (the soon to be Middle School). It was found to be a false alarm caused by sawdust created by the construction crew working at the school.
1352- Fire crews responded for a fire in the Wal-Mart parking lot. A small, 1’ x 1’ fire was found burning in bark and was quickly extinguished.
1505- EMS crews responded to Nine Mile Rd for a patient having difficulty breathing. Treated, transported to SMC.
1515- Fire and EMS crews responded to a report of a female with injuries from a dog bite in the Page area. The patient was treated for injuries to an arm and both legs and then transported to SMC by ambulance.
2029- Fire and EMS crews responded to Osburn for a patient having seizures. Crews gained IV access, treated and transported to SMC.
08/04/2017
1342- Fire crews responded to a report of an illegal burn up the West Fork of Pine Creek. The homeowner extinguished the fire prior to fire personnel arriving on scene. He was advised of the current fire danger and burning regulations prior to clearing the scene.
1445- Fire and EMS crews responded to Main Street in Smelterville for a patient with an unknown medical issue. The male patient was treated for possible kidney problems and then transported to SMC by ambulance for further care.
1626- EMS crews responded to Wallace for a patient with breathing difficulty. Treated, transported to SMC.
1755- responded to the Kingston Quick Stop on Silver Valley road for a male patient requesting medical attention. A male patient was assessed and treated for possible dehydration prior to being transported to SMC by ambulance.
1758- Off duty fire personnel witnessed a vehicle throwing a paper bag on fire out the back of a truck along the Dike road in Pinehurst. The vehicle was pulled over and occupants were reported to law enforcement. The fire was extinguished before it could spread to the nearby grasses. Please be mindful about current fire danger!
2058- EMS personnel responded to Good Samaritan Silverwood Village for a patient having breathing difficulty. Crews treated and transported to SMC for further care.
2258- Fire and EMS crews responded to the Fairbridge Inn in Kellogg for a male with a head injury. The patient was treated and transported to SMC by ambulance.
08/05/2017
0934- Fire personnel were dispatched to the “Burke ball field” for a vehicle fire that had happened overnight and was still smoldering. After a long trek through some tight roads, crew found the vehicle burnt to a crisp. It is truly amazing the forest did not catch fire. Crew mopped up all remaining hot spots.
1134- Fire crews responded to West Portland in Kellogg for a report of power lines down. Once on scene, the lines were determined to be communication lines. No threat of fire or other issue was present.
1552- EMS responded to Front St. in Wallace for a patient with unknown illness. Crew treated and transported to SMC.
1829- EMS responded to Third St. in Osburn for a diabetic emergency. Crew treated, patient did not wish to be transported to hospital.
2336- Fire and EMS responded to East Portland in Kellogg for a male subject who was found passed out. The patient was thoroughly assessed however he refused to be transported to the hospital and went home against medical advice.
08/06/2017
1128- Fire crews responded to Latour Creek Road for a phoned in report of smoke, a possible fire on the hill side. The issue was discovered to be in a saddle just below the ridge line where smoke had settled. No fire or other problem was found prior to personnel clearing. The reporting party stopped by the station a few hours later to report he checked on it again and saw no change.
1215- Fire and EMS crews dispatched to Moon Gulch for a medical call. Patient was assessed and then transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
1308- EMS personnel responded to the Portland portal on the Hiawatha trail for a CPR in progress. Crew treated and transported to SMC.
1604 Fire crews were dispatched to Main St. in Kellogg for an unknown problem. One patient was assessed and transported to SMC by ambulance for further care.
1652- Firefighters received a walk-in patient to the Pinehurst Station for a blood pressure check. Patient assessment was made along with a recommendation to go to the hospital. Patient refused and said he would call 9-1-1 if his issue worsened.
1704- Fire and EMS responded to Wal-Mart for a female with a diabetic problem. Patient was hyperglycemic and refused help shortly after crews arrived on scene. She was informed of where and how far the hospital was for further care as she walked away.
1802- Fire and EMS crews dispatched to Moon Gulch for a medical patient. He was assessed and treated prior to receiving transport to SMC by ambulance.
1957- Fire crew dispatched to Benthams Rd. in Wallace for a report of a large campfire. Campfire was in regulation. Crew informed owner of compliance rules and regulations.
2047- Fire personnel responded to Smelterville for a reported fire above the Bandz building on the hill side. Arrived at the area and found a beautiful smoky-orange full moon rising. The reporting party had called back into Dispatchers reporting that he mistook the moon for a fire. We would much rather check these than to have an actual fire not be reported because someone was not sure!

1540- EMS crews responded to Wallace for a lift assist.
1611- EMS crews responded to Woodland Park for a patient was injured from a fall. EMS crews promptly treated and transported the patient to SMC for further evaluation.
1945- EMS crews responded to Lake Elsie for two patients that needed medical evaluation from a car crash. Both patients were treated, had no injuries and did not want or require further medical evaluation.
2009- Fire crews responded up Placer Creek for a possible bonfire. When on scene fire crews were unable to find any fire or smoke in the area. Remember, be safe with the dry conditions that are present and adhere to the current fire restrictions.
08/08/2017
0943- Fire and EMS crews responded for an injury crash on North Division in Kellogg after a UTV ran into the side of a car. The driver of the UTV was treated on scene for his injuries and then transported by ambulance to SMC. No one in the car was injured.
1611- EMS crews were dispatched to Osburn for a patient with abdominal pain. EMS crews assessed, treated, and transported the patient to SMC for further evaluation.
1806- EMS and fire crews were dispatched to MP 53 for an MVC. Crews were canceled en route due to no injuries.
1812- Fire crews were dispatched to Silverton for a brush fire that started from a downed power line. Fire crews were able to suppress the fire in an expedient manner and control the scene. Thank you Avista for arriving so fast!
08/09/2017
0853- EMS crews responded to Two Mile Rd for a patient who passed out. Patient was treated and transported to SMC for further care.
