Come check out the Staff House!
With the Kellogg High School All-Class Reunion in full swing, visitors may want to saunter up to McKinley Avenue and check out the Staff House Museum.
The Staff House has decades of historic and nostalgic exhibits that are sure to refresh the memories of returning Kellogg High School graduates.
Bunker Hill Company, Schools & Fraternal organizations, Mining technology & tools, The Sunshine Mine Fire of 1972, Vintage clothing & Textiles, Kellogg & Wardner, Medical equipment and facilities of the past, Power & Transportation Infrastructure, Local War Heroes, and Scouting in the Valley are just a few of the exhibits that are available for viewing.
“Most of the people coming in know about what we are and we have to offer concerning the history of the Kellogg,” museum board member and gift shop manager Oradell Triplett said. “But we also have things from graduating classes and some older annuals for returning grads in our special All-Class Room. But at the very least people can come visit one of the oldest building in Kellogg.”
KHS All-Class members received free tickets into the museum in their registration packets, but the museum is also open to other tourists which include special rates for adults, seniors, youth, and families.
They are open from 11 a.m. through 5 p.m. on Saturdays and are hoping to be open tomorrow (Sunday) as a special for the reunion.
The Staff House Museum is located at 820 McKinley Avenue, for more information call them at (208) 786-4141.
