KPD Roll Call 8/8-8/15

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Open door on the middle school, cleared and secured building. Looked like the janitors were buffing floors and left the hall way doors open.

•Called to westbound I90 just passed 49 in the construction for a possible crash. Upon arrival a man had drove his motorcycle passed the barricades and crashed in the construction and messed up his Harley, Bet he won’t ever do that again!

•Finished report and E-impact from yesterday.

•Traffic stop on Bunker Avenue for speed/ No plates, cleared verbal.

•Traffic stop on McKinley Avenue for no license plate, cleared verbal.

•Traffic stop on Wildcat Way for no license plate, cleared verbal.

•Traffic stop on E Cameron Avenue for broken taillight/brake light, cleared verbal.

•Foot patrol/ extra patrol on Kellogg Avenue. Vehicle was parked on the wrong side of the road with occupants inside. Gave verbal warning to occupants about parking violation.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Report of persons shooting pellet/bb guns at persons and property. After exhaustive searching and tracking, located subjects and gun. Gun was seized. 2 of the 3 involved are juveniles and charges will be petitioned. Adult will be issued citation upon further contact (no answer at the residence later in the evening - probably sleeping). Will be waiting on contact from 2nd victim to see if charges will be added for Aggravated Assault as they were struck, but not injured, by the high-powered pellet rifle. Report taken.

•Served a citation for K71.

•Worked on reports and narrative templates to see if I can find out what the issue is when printing.

•Dispatched to 200 block of Mission Avenue about abandoned dogs. Dogs were not abandoned, the home owner just left their doors open so the dogs can roam freely throughout the yard/home. Cleared negative contact with the dog owner, however after leaving and driving back around the area the dog owners pulled up and gave them verbal about the dogs barking constantly. K71 also wrote a citation for to the home owner for Blight City Ordinance. Cleared verbal for dogs barking and citation issued for blight.

•Dispatched to 200 block of W Mill Street for dog complaint. Spoke with owner about dogs barking at night but apparently, she keeps the dogs inside with her at night. Cleared peace restored.

•Worked a case with K71 at beginning of shift.

•Follow-up for K74.

•Warrant service with 1215 x2 both negative contact.

•Landline request in office- will be doing follow up.

•Traffic control at intersection of Bunker and Cameron, cleared public assist.

•Assisted K77 with Semi-truck vs. Passenger vehicle on Elm and Riverside.

•Responded to a semi vs parked vehicle at Elm and Riverside (non-injury). completed the exchange and e-impact.

•Caught up on some reports.

•Washed my vehicle, the smoke and dust has made keeping it clean difficult.

•Checked on a tagged vehicle. The vehicle was moved.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Landline request day and 3 of the 3. This included a portion of the follow-up from the Pellet Gun incident.

•Contact subject reference incident last night that K72 will be handling in the 400 block of Railroad. Statement form was given for completion and he was advised contact will be made upon K72 coming on shift. Nothing further to report for this incident as far as criminal activity.

•Followed up with suspects from last night’s Pellet Gun incident informing them of further charges being added.

•Followed up with adult suspect from last night’s Pellet Gun incident and issued citations for Malicious Injury to Property / Unlawful Entry / Discharge of firearm in City Limits (Kellogg City Ordinance). Citation issued.

•Dispatched to 100 block of Kellogg Avenue about verbal domestic in progress. Upon arrival, call was actually originating from 100 block of Presley. Ended up being another neighbor dispute. Cleared peace restored.

•Patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Followed up with Dave Smith Motors on damaged vehicle from aforesaid incident. Working on getting an estimate for the damage done.

•Report of verbal domestic in 100 block of Kellogg Avenue. Located source of incident in the 100 block of Presley. NOT a domestic and not domestic related, issue between neighbors yelling at one another over personal beliefs. Advised both to stop yelling. Peace restored.

•Followed up with K72 on his incident in the 400 block of Railroad.

•Follow-up for K74’s pellet rifle report. At Mine Fab, Dave Smith, and Excelsior Cycle.

•Attempted 29 services, negative contact.

•Traffic stop on Bunker Avenue for Stop Sign violation. Driver happened to be KHS alumni from 1952. Cleared verbal warning.

•Foot patrol on Kellogg, Main, Mill, 2nd E Portland and Maple.

•Attempted to complete a 29 service with K-75 with no luck.

•Attempted to handle some LL requests, I guess we will be playing phone tag because nobody answered.

•K75 and I got to feel like Fire Fighters today. A Kellogg Alumni was in town for the reunion and wanted a photograph with K-75 and myself. I thought that only happened to the fire fighters.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Lots of People out tonight.

•Continued follow-ups on pellet gun case.

•Bar fight at Dirty Ernies - Unfounded.

•Bar fight at Eddy Joe’s- K72 working on it as one subject went to hospital and was unconscious. By the time we could interview him, he was released from hospital. Investigation under way.

•Report of suspicious activity on Mission in the church parking lot- Unable to locate.

•Suspicious activity Down Street Wardner- caller reports hearing odd noises outside home, possibly someone at front door - unknown further. Upon arrival, checked area and provided courtesy escort to vehicle to go stay with family. Public assist.

•400 block of Railroad- shots fired. Subject taken into custody without incident. K72 arrest.

•Called to a dog chasing cats on E. Idaho.

•Parade was fun.

•Called to kids on the bridge at 49 nothing further. I attempted to locate and cleared UTL.

•Finished up reports.

•Assisted K74 at Cameron Conoco a juvenile that hasn’t come home.

•Dispatched to 500 block of McKinley for a parking complaint. Cleared public assist.

•Dispatched to Shoshone Medical Center (SMC) about a female subject that ran out the front door. Her father ended up locating her and brought her back to the hospital. I helped provide security so she couldn’t escape again... cleared public assist.

•Landline request from victim of a battery that happened at Eddie Joe’s. He is going to come pick up a medical waiver form and a statement form today. I advised him to contact SCSO to meet with a KPD officer to give him the papers which will be located on my desk.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Found property on Bunker Avenue in front of Fairbridge. Item recovered was a backpack with personal items. While inventorying the items, was contacted by a friend of the owner stating she was looking for it. Made contact with owner and property was returned. Public assist.

•Citizen contact at Cameron Conoco- father wanting to report juvenile as missing. Upon contact, he was not missing, father just can’t locate him. Advised if there are issue with juvenile (as this was too early for curfew and no other reports of criminal activity) he would be returned home. Unfounded as juvenile is not missing- later contact with K73, he had seen the juvenile walking around...he has not run away from home or anything of that sort.

•Attempted working on reports.

•Called to SMC for a possible child molestation- report taken.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Assisted County on a DUI at exit 45 westbound- Cleared other agency assist.

•Vehicle at the Hill Street Conoco, woman was throwing up outside of car, turns out she was just sick with a flu bug while driving back to Florida.

•Suspicious vehicle at the Gondolier, after speaking with the gentleman in the vehicle it was the only spot in Kellogg where he could get cell phone service.

•Responded to an unruly passenger on the greyhound bus. Removed him without incident.

•Traffic stop on Bunker Ave. Cleared verbal.

•Civil standby on Howard Street.

•Assisted FS38 trying to locate a person in our city. Cleared UTL.

•Picked up statements from Friday Nights fights.

•Over all a nice turn out for the all class.

•Oh, okay Um I invented Post-its.

•Released two dogs from one from Kellogg and one from County.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Called to the 700 block of upper 3rd street for a disturbing the peace complaint of someone yelling- Located man yelling, He was mad that his girlfriend was gone from home and let his frustration out vocally.

•Landline request from a gentleman who lives in the 700 block of upper third about a suspicious activity.

•Traffic stop at 50 on ramp- verbal for running stop sign.

•Called to Angel Wings for public assist.

•Several landline requests cleared public assist.

•Threats call on Upper 3rd. K76 responded last night to the individual. Cleared peace restored.

•Assist ISP on a DUI on Bunker Avenue.

•Called to Angel Wings for an unwanted person.

•Called to SMC for an unwanted person.

•Follow up on a case from Bank CDA.

•Extra patrol on upper 3rd street.

•Over All a good weekend with all the Alumni.
