Aug. 16
0627: Fire and EMS crews responded to I-90 WB at MP 32 for a reported semi with a tire on fire. On arrival to the area, crews were unable to locate any semis. The pass was checked to Wolf Lodge with nothing found.
1115: Report of a medical emergency in the Pinecreek area. One person was treated and transported SMC
1249: District 2 Fire responded to South Division Street in Pinehurst for a reported power line down. Crews found a TV line had broke and was hanging on the ground along with a problem at the utility pole across the street. Utility companies notified.
1820: Fire and EMS crews responded to Bunker Ave to evaluate a patient at the request of KPD. Patient was treated and transported to SMC.
2301: Fire and EMS responded to uptown Kellogg for a 63 year old male patient who was delirious. The patient was taken to SMC for treatment.
Aug. 17
0549: Fire & EMS responded to a medical on Mathew Loop in Smelterville. One person was assessed, treated and transported to SMC
0743: District 2 Fire responded to the West Fork of Pine Creek for a burn complaint. The occupant was made aware of the burn restrictions currently in place and agreed to extinguish his own fire.
1259: Fire and EMS responded for a male with vertigo on I-90 East bound at 43. The patient was assessed for his condition but refused ambulance transport. Crews assisted him with moving his car off of the interstate by driving him to Pinehurst to continue resting.
1535: Fire and EMS responded for a vehicle crash up the East Fork of Pine Creek. The crash was located but there was no one in or around the vehicle. After EMS was canceled, Fire personnel assisted with some minor cleanup to clear the road of nails and screws for traffic to pass through.
Aug. 18
0430: EMS responded to First St. in Silverton for a diabetic emergency. Crew treated and transported to SMC.
0524: EMS responded to Bank St. in Wallace for a patient having cardiac problems. Crew treated and transported to SMC.
1836: Fire and EMS crews responded to Yoke’s parking lot for a male patient experiencing difficulty breathing. The patient was assessed but refused treatment.
2359: Fire and EMS crews responded to Howard and Elder in Kellogg for a request from law enforcement to check a patient lying in the street.
Aug. 19
0823: Fire & EMS dispatched to Legion Ave for a medical patient assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
0933: EMS crews responded to Wallace for an individual who was feeling dizzy. The patient was given water and the patient went on their way.
1008: Fire and EMS crews responded to First Street in Smelterville for a possible unattended death. The patient was assessed and found to be deceased.
1037: EMS crews responded to Osburn for a patient who fell. EMS crews quickly treated and transported the patient to SMC for further evaluation.
1209: EMS and Fire crews responded to MP 64 eastbound for a semi rollover. Two Good Samaritan off duty flight nurses assisted crews with patient care and allowed for quick treatment and transportation. The fact that the patient was wearing a seatbelt turned a bad situation into a positive one.
1326: Fire and EMS crews responded for a smell of gas at the Pinehurst Post Office. The facility was checked with a gas detector. No gas present inside the structure.
1327: EMS crews responded to Silverton for a patient that fell. EMS crews quickly treated and transported the patient to SMC for further evaluation.
1804: Dispatched to Mission Ave for a fall. Patient assessed, treated and transported to Shoshone Medical Center.
Aug. 20
1008: EMS crews were dispatched to the East Portal of the Hiawatha for a patient that fell off their bike. The patient was quickly treated and transported to SMC for further evaluation.
2057: Dispatched to Elk Creek for a campfire. Informed homeowner of fire restrictions. Fire was put out.
2314: EMS responded to the Wallace area for a patient experiencing hypoglycemia. Patient friend administered a shot of glucagon prior to EMS arrival. Patient was alert and oriented when crews arrived. Assessed patient and return to quarters.
Aug. 21
1006: Units were dispatched to the Cameron Conoco for a two-vehicle collision. Both parties on scene stated that they were not injured and did not want to go to the hospital. The scene was handed over to law enforcement.
1906: Report of a medical on Sunrise in Pinehurst. One person was checked at the scene and she did not want to go to the hospital
Aug. 22
2309: Fire and EMS crews responded to I-90 MP 52 for a vehicle fire. No fire was found upon arrival vehicle owner was assisted by fire crew.
