Thursday, Aug. 31

•Kellogg High School Girls Soccer at home vs Timberlake High School. Game starts at 4 p.m.

•Wallace High School Volleyball at home vs Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy. JV starts at 6 p.m., Varsity at 7:30 p.m.

•Free developmental screenings at Kellogg Middle School. Screenings are for children ages birth to five years old and are free of charge. If you have a concern regarding your child’s development in the areas of speech language, motor skills, age appropriate concept knowledge, behavior or social skills — contact the developmental preschool program to schedule an appointment at (208) 556-7202. Screenings are done in cooperation with the Idaho State Department of Health and Welfare Infant Toddler Program, NIC Head Start Program, Early Head Start and the Kellogg, Wallace and Mullan School Districts.

•Pinochle game at the Kellogg Senior Center from noon to 2 p.m. Event repeats every Thursday.

Friday, Sept. 1

•Friday night dance at the Kellogg Senior Center from 7 to 10 p.m. every Friday. Music by Jerry and Faith.

•Free community movie night at Gene Day Park in Osburn. Movies will begin at dusk Friday and Saturday nights throughout the summer. The event will be canceled if it is raining. Please contact Carol Young with any questions at 753-5475 (work), 659-7075 (cell).

•Ride & Dine Series at Silver Mountain from 2 to 8 p.m. Barbecue dinner and live music from local artists. Event reoccurs every Friday.

•Mullan High School Football at home vs Deary High School. Kick-off at 3:30 p.m.

•Live music at the Snake Pit from 7 to 9 p.m. Enjoy The Ghost Ranch Band.

Saturday, Sept. 2

•Live blues music with John Kelley at the Fainting Goat from 6 to 9 p.m. 516 Bank Street, Wallace.

•First day of Under the Freeway Flea Market from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Over 80 vendors, collectibles, antiques, and many items. Located under the freeway in Wallace Saturday to Monday. Market open on Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

•Lucky Lyons song circle from 2-5 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month. Call 208-682-3371 for more information.

Sunday, Sept. 3

•Running of the Ducks hosted by the Wallace Rotary Club at 3 p.m. Adopt a duck and win a prize. Occurs during the Under the Freeway Flea Market.

•Canyon Elementary first day of school.

•Smelterville Lions Club meeting at 7:15 p.m. at 301 W Main Street, Smelterville. Event reoccurs the first and third Tuesdays of every month.

•U.S. Militia Northern Command Meeting at 6 p.m. in the Brooks restaurant. 500 Cedar Street, Wallace.
