SMELTERVILLE — The Silver Valley Worship Center will be hosting their annual community Christmas dinner this Tuesday and if the theme is any indication, things are going to get really Who-ish.

SVWC is currently in the midst of their 31 Days of Whobilation celebration where they have stolen a page from the immortal words of Dr. Suess, and are going to have a Best Dressed Who contest to go along with a traditional Christmas dinner.

Pastor Corey Berti has always had a mission mindset, but knows that reaching his community is his first and foremost responsibility and he is also a firm believer in having some fun while he and his church do it.

“The reason we offer a dinner every year is simply to provide a place of fellowship for our community where anyone can come out for a nice Christmas dinner, sing some traditional Christmas songs, have some fun with our gift giveaway and the best dressed contest and go home with a smile,” Berti said. “In the past, we haven't had a theme, it was just a traditional Christmas setting, but this year we wanted to change things up, so we decided to do a Whoville theme and we’ll have a ‘Best Dressed Who’ contest at the dinner.”

Silver Valley Worship Center’s community Christmas dinner will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the church in Smelterville.
