Comment sought on draft air quality permit renewal for Spunstrand

WALLACE — The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is seeking public comment on a draft Tier I air quality operating permit renewal for Spunstrand, Wallace.

The draft permit extends regulation of air pollutants emitted from the facility for another five years.

The deadline for submitting written comments addressing air quality considerations is January 26, 2018, at 5 p.m. MST. A public hearing may be held if requested in writing by January 12, 2018.

The permit application, draft permit, and related documents are available for review on DEQ’s website (download at right).
