The Kellogg Wildcats fought from an 11-point second half deficit to beat the Priest River Spartans 39-38 on senior night.

Prior to the game the Kellogg faithful honored seniors Abby Arthur and Marley Chambers.

The Wildcats struggled to get any offense going and the Spartans decided at the end of the first half to go into a stall to protect their 20-13 lead.

The second began all Priest River as they kept the Wildcats off the glass on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.

The Wildcats trailed 30-23 entering the final frame and seemingly had no momentum.

But then Kaili Cates happened.

Cates fought for loose balls, led fast breaks, and routinely finished at the basket as she scored 10 of her game high 16 points in the final quarter to help the Wildcats close the comeback.

Kellogg (9-9, 4-3 IML) will host Coeur d’Alene Charter on Thursday night in a make-up game at Kellogg High School.
