The Osburn Lions Club needs you to continue helping meet the needs of our end of the Silver Valley. For those that have lived in the Osburn, Silverton, and Wallace area you are familiar with what the Club does.

Chartered in 1952, the Osburn Lions has provided an annual Easter Egg Hunt, offered financial support to purchase eye glasses or surgery for those in need, supported Wallace H.S. students for the past 64 years, sold a community birthday and anniversary calendar for 62 years, built and provided Christmas decorations for the City of Osburn for 61 years, helped make possible for Santa to visit the elementary school children for 59 years, provided financial support for needy families and children for 59 years, maintained and improved the Lions Park at the west end of Osburn for 54 years, supported Boys and Girls State participants for 44 years, and sponsored an Elks Queen Candidate for 34 years.

The Club has continued to provide these valued services despite a steadily decreasing membership.

We currently have 12 active members.

We have tried many methods of attracting new members, both men and women, from any community of the valley, not just Osburn, but have had little success. With decreased numbers and increased age of members we are finding it much more difficult each year to meet community needs.

Without new membership the club will probably cease to exist and the services with it.

If you are willing “TO SERVE” contact a member or come to a meeting (1st and 3rd Monday of the month at 6:00) at Mom’s Eatery in Osburn.
