08:30 Fire crews assisted a motorist with getting his vehicle freed from being stuck on the snow and ice on Market Ave.

19:10 EMS crews responded to W. Yellowstone for a patient who was having difficulty breathing. Patient was treated and transported to Shoshone Medical Center (SMC).

23:49 EMS crews responded to Northview Avenue in Smelterville for a patient having difficulty breathing. The patient was assessed and transported to SMC for further treatment.

10:55 EMS crews dispatched to G St. in Smelterville for a medical emergency, patient was assessed transported to SMC for further evaluation and treatment.

11:27 EMS crews responded to E. Yellowstone for a patient who had fallen by their car and was unable to get up. Crew helped the Patient out of their car where a friendly neighbor had managed to get them lifted to. Crews treated and transported patient to SMC.

13:58 EMS crews responded to a residence near Mullan for patient who was unable to get up and had not eaten or drank anything for two days. MVFD and a deputy were first on scene and were able to gain entry through the locked door quickly. Crews treated and transported patient to SMC.

11:13 EMS crews responded to MP 74 for a Motor Vehicle Crash with Law Enforcement on scene unknown injuries. EMS crews were canceled at MP 64 after ISP updated no injuries.

13:21 EMS crews responded to Lookout Ski Resort for a patient who was having one of those days on the hill, experiencing lower back pain and headache after a crash. Crew treated and transported patient to SMC.

18:54 EMS crews responded to Cedar St. in Wallace for a patient having a seizure. Patient was found to be hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) and was treated on scene and transported to SMC. Thank you to the friendly citizen who went out of their way to shovel a path for our gurney.

19:38 EMS crews responded to W. Yellowstone for a patient who had fallen and was unable to get up. All doors were locked upon arrival so fire crews had to force entry (sorry about your door). Crews treated patient, and patient refused transport.

22:34 EMS crews dispatched to MVC but canceled en route.

23:14 EMS crews dispatched to Osburn area for person down unknown reason. Scene turned over to law enforcement.

23:21 Fire and emergency crews dispatched for a possible CO detector alarm. Occupant stated that the alarm was located in the basement. He had been unable to locate the alarm and believed it was mounted on the ceiling and covered with fiberglass insulation. Personnel and occupant removed insulation from a section of the basement ceiling. After removing the insulation found a smoke detector had been placed in a basket and another object was pressing and holding the “test” button. Advised the occupant to replace the batter and to mount the detector back in the bracket.

13:54 EMS crews responded to MVC with unknown injuries. Side airbags deployed, both occupants were wearing seat belts. Driver just recently healed from multiple broken ribs, but the crash slammed her torso in the exact same injured area. Passenger was fine. Driver refused transport.

14:35 EMS crews responded to Lookout Ski Area for a patient with a leg injury. On arrival, patient still had her ski boot on, as it was too painful to remove it. Asked patient if she had broken a bone before. “Oh, it's broken!” she said, grimacing. Patient requested to go directly to Kootenai Health if it was approved by Medical Control. After approval to bypass SMC, transported patient through awful road conditions to Kootenai, but she bore it like a champ (without pain meds!).

18:17 Fire and EMS crews responded to Wallace for a smoke alarm going off. Family came running out to say everything was fine, it was just burnt toast. Classic.

09:50 EMS crews responded to Shoshone County Sheriff's Office for a walk in patient involved in a vehicle crash. Patient was a passenger of vehicle heading to lookout for a ski day. Patient said she was taking a drink out of her coffee mug when the crash occurred. Coffee mug made contact with patient's eye causing one major shiner. At least she wasn't holding a pencil? Patient was assessed by medical and refused to be transported by ambulance. All other occupants of vehicle refused medical.

12:05 EMS crews responded to milepost 73 westbound I-90 for unknown injury crash. After a long treacherous drive up the pass medical units were canceled by Idaho State Patrol on scene; non injury.

00:39 EMS crews dispatched to Shoshone County jail for patient who sustained an injury from a MVC several days ago. Patient was determined to be stable and agreed to wait until morning to go to her scheduled doctor appointment.

01:12 EMS crews encountered a certain acquaintance wandering the streets in Wallace, intoxicated. He had evidently locked himself out. Helped him “break in” (back door was unlocked all along).

14:18 EMS crews responded to a dislocated hip on Clifton in Smelterville. Patient was assessed and transported to SMC, later transferred to Kootenai Health.

09:23 EMS crews responded to Sunny Slopes for a patient with hip pain. Crews treated and transported to SMC for further examination.

18:16 EMS crews responded to a report of a medical emergency on Sunrise in Pinehurst. One person was checked at the scene and refused transport to the hospital

02:31 Fire and EMS crews responded to Ross Ranch for a male having panic attacks. Patient refused transport to hospital.

10:30 Fire and EMS responded to 2nd St for a welfare check. Occupant was home and determined to be OK.

10:52 Fire and EMS responded to Moon Gulch Rd for a male with breathing difficulties. Patient was treated, assessed, and transported to SMC for further testing.

11:03 EMS crews responded to Silver Mountain Resort for a female who had broken her leg. Patient had serious deformity and it looked like it hurt like a son of a gun. Patient took it like a champ though. Crews treated and transported to SMC.

15:04 EMS crews responded to Johnson St. for a male who had fallen and was unable to get up on his own. Crews assisted and patient refused transport to the hospital.

16:19 EMS crews responded to Cedar St. in Wallace for a patient who was feeling really confused and abnormal. Crews treated and transported to SMC for further examination.

03:19 Fire and EMS responded to North Division St in Kellogg for a reported female who had fallen. Patient was helped up and began moving about the house. She was assessed and treated for a potential head injury prior to transport to SMC for further evaluation and treatment.
