Roll Call Feb. 6th – Feb. 13th

•Was going to do a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not stop at a stop sign on Hill St. As I approached the intersection I found myself not stopping at said stop sign. Yeah, the intersection was like a lake with an ice floor. I gave myself a verbal warning on the stop sign violation.

•Dropped the rig off to Dave Smith’s. Oil leak problem will hopefully get fixed now.

•Runaway juvenile found by its guardian and talked to by me at the high school. Please see below.

•Welfare check on 2nd St. called in by Meals on Wheels. The individual was ok, cleared public assist.

•K73’s vehicle overheated and is getting worked on. Perfect storm for vehicles being down. Both newish Durango’s are being worked on, puppy wagon won’t start and K77 has P69 at training. (and all this time we thought it was K77 killing the vehicles, nope it’s k76)

•Tagged six vehicles on Helen St. to be removed by 6:00 a.m., 2-9-2017, for ice removal.

•Attempted paper service (three times), negative contact.

•Mobile patrols in Kellogg and Wardner

•Vehicle maintenance with K73 (bracket adjustment for in-vehicle lighting). Most of the flashback is gone now...for the time being.

•Case follow-up. Took supplement and cd with photos to SCSO and placed in Prosecutor’s box so they receive it first thing in the morning (court this week). Prosecutor log filled out for documentation.

•ATL welfare check on subject possibly in Kellogg somewhere. Unknown location, email sent out by dispatch. Unable to check on subject as it is unknown where he and child are located.

•Went with county to remove deceased animal from I90. ITD had already removed the animal (moose).

•Rock’n the short sleeves today! (picked the wrong day to do it lol)

•Got w/felony P&P about info received yesterday.

•Possible petit-theft call from yesterday turned into just a trespassing notification.

•Got the Cadi towed that was left in the parking lot over a week ago.

•Paperwork.

•Disturbance at Yoke’s parking lot. Report of a female standing in front of a Bronco- yelling and screaming. On arrival made contact with subject. She was waiting for her mother (driver) to finish shopping, but was in fact, standing in the middle of the parking lot. As for yelling, she was signing loudly to music and seemed to be in good spirits with officers and management at the store. Eventually left with her sober driver. Peace restored.

•Located vehicle slide-off on 2nd and Silver. No damage and vehicle was attempting to make turn....slid into snow berm instead. Unable to get traction to get going, driver/owner already contacted tow prior to my finding. Vehicle was removed by Nickerson’s at owner’s request without incident (other than the vehicle battery dying). Hazard removed.

•Verbal Domestic on E. Mill- K71 handled, parties separated for the day and courtesy transport provided to female half. DV pamphlets given to both parties.

•Agency assist for hold up alarm at US bank in Pinehurst. While in route with K71 we were notified alarm company has called and confirmed a false alarm. Cleared.

•Cleared four vehicles from the 48-hour tow notice. All vehicles have been removed.

•Vehicle complaint on Elm, contacted manager of Dave Smith as the vehicle had a dealer plate on it. I also notified him that side is marked with yellow but can’t tell because of the ice/snow. Cleared public assist.

•Called to 600 block of S Division for vehicle blocking driveway. Contacted the owner and had it moved. Cleared public assist.

•Welfare check at panhandle linen apartments. Child was code 4.

•VIN inspection at KPD.

•Citizen contact at Dave Smith wash bay, costumer lost a plate. 662 assisted with returning the plate to their owner whom lives in Osburn.

•Mobile patrols in Kellogg and Wardner.

•Motorist assist 500 block of 2nd Street- vehicle stuck in driveway. With assistance from ISP and County, we were able to push the vehicle back onto the roadway...out from the hole(s) that both tires dug into the ice.

•Assist county with vehicle crash I90 @ MP 49- vehicle vs Elk/Moose (2). County handled and animals were removed from roadway.

•Welfare check on maple, subject was code 4.

•Traffic stop on McKinley Ave for speed, cleared verbal.

•Two verbal parking warnings on 400 block of W Mullan.

•Helped K90 with her mailing difficulties... LOL.

•Spent most of the day driving around enjoying the weather.

•Did some training on distance learning on the POST website.

•Walk-in complaint at KPD, cleared public assist.

•County Assist Government gulch for a possible domestic. Cleared County Assist.

•Bob started the online courses for Post Academy.

•Started night off with the neighbors calling on a female on Elder street again. This time said female reported to have had a seizure and I guess it was two loud for the neighbors down stairs. Cleared peace restored.

•Did a round of business checks at our local establishments that serve spirits and beer. All was in order.

•Called to 100 block of Mullan Ave for a noise complaint. Made contact with a larger house party of adults. Cleared 10 with a warning.

•Called back to the same address two hours later for same complaint. Nobody would answer the door however one of the partiers I spoke to before happened to be attempting to walk down Mullan back to the party. He was very unbalanced and couldn’t tell me where he was going or coming from. Extremely intoxicated. Long story short he was detoxed.

•On the way back from the jail at approximately MP 56 WB. I observed a white truck, weaving lane to lane, entering the emergency lane and almost losing control towards the median. I requested permission from 1224 to make a stop, due to probability of a crash. It was granted. I made stop made contact with the driver and waited for county to arrive. Cleared after county was on scene.

•Attempt to locate vehicle that had paraphernalia, RP wouldn’t give his name. He just said he saw suspect load up a bong with children in the car, RP said vehicle was heading towards Osburn on Silver Valley Rd was unable to locate vehicle.

•Traffic stop on Cameron Ave for speed.

•Removed debris from road way at intersection of Cedar and Mullan Ave. debris was a step side tube I assume is for a dodge possibly from the passenger side.

•Called to Morning Star Lodge for unknown pills that cleaning maids discovered in a room. Showed BOB how NIK tests are done. Negative results.

•Finished some distance learning courses.

•Called to East Portland for a Cow moose in the area with a calf. Cleared unable to locate. Yeah I was thinking the same thing, how do you NOT see a Moose walking down the street. Guess the outside detectives we put on this case are not that good after all.

•Received a dog for puppy jail. Ol’ boy and I almost didn’t make it to the door because of the ice skating rink.

•Received call to Amy Lynns about possible adult hitting a child. ended up being kids who were ages 8-11 fighting and pushing each other. Cleared 10 peace restored.

•Patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Keith cleaned Bobs Glock..... >= D

•My dog picked a great day and time to hop our fence and follow an elk trail...caught the bugger by the Wardner City Garage.

•Patrolled Kellogg and what used to be the Main St. of Wardner but is now named “Ice Creek Way” for obvious reasons.

•Vin inspections.

•Traffic stop on Hill St. for a truck that had a locked-up tire which caused the vehicle to slide sideways. Owner advised to fix it before he continued on.

•Complaint of an individual sitting in a truck that doesn’t belong to them on Maple. K73 ended up contacting Aging Adult Services.

•Verbal for a headlight at the Hill St Conoco.

•K77 slipped and sprained his ego.

•Parent signed their child as a runaway. Found said child at the high school attending his classes. (yeah, I had to read that twice as well). Petitioning the court for runaway charges.

•Released a dog and put two more into jail.

•Bob is doing well and learning the streets and the radio lingo well.
