PENELOPE AGEE ROBSON, 98

Catherine Penelope “Penny” Agee Robson of Hayden, Idaho died Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Hayden, ID. She lived through a century of changes with humor and enjoyment of others, strangers and family to age 98. Penelope was born April 28, 1918 in Mobile, Alabama and raised in Monroeville, Alabama, a small town made famous through the story, “To Kill a Mocking Bird”. She was the daughter of Erma Eugenie (Van Aller) Agee and James Munroe Agee. Penny grew up in her exceptional family of six children. Penny graduated from Judson College in Marion, Alabama in 1940 majoring in mathematics and music. Penelope taught school, then as a statistician at Baron Air Force Base near Pensacola, FL where she met Robert “Bob” Morgan Robson, a dashing Naval Aviator. They married on August 28, 1944. Bob and Penny then settled in Moscow, Idaho, where Bob attended the University of Idaho Law School, and Penny began raising their family.

Penny and Bob lived in Grangeville, Idaho, where Penny loved playing the organ for the Episcopalian Church, while Bob served as County Prosecuting Attorney. The young family then moved to the Trust Territory of the Pacific, stationed on the Island of Chuk (then known as Truk) where Bob established the local constabulary and court system. Returning to the states in 1957, with their family of four children complete, they then moved to Kellogg, Idaho, where Bob opened a private law practice. Penny had a busy life of family activities, the Episcopalian Church, PEO, competitive bridge, women's investment group, PTA and substitute teaching. She also taught private piano lessons.

In 1969, when Bob was appointed Idaho Attorney General, Penny and Bob moved to Boise. During this time Penny sold real estate and ran the Idaho State Legislative copy center. Later, Bob and Penny moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Upon Bob's retirement in 1990, they returned to North Idaho where they lived in Hayden Lake. Penny settled into her role as a happy grandmother. Bob predeceased Penny on September 5, 2006.

Survivors include her sister in Alabama, Jeanette Agee Adams (Dr. Roy Adams) and extended family; her children, Lynn Robson, Jim Robson and his wife, Shelly, Leslie Robson and Kevin Whaley, Rob Robson and his wife, Nita; Penny's seven grandchildren, Mitchell Robson, Sara Cucksey (Ellis Cucksey), Jesse Agee, Shane Davis, Matthew Robson (Crystal Robson), Brianna Robson (Nick Shriner), and Jacob.
