Michael Earl Sheldon Sr., 68

After a long battle with lung cancer, Michael Earl Sheldon Sr. 68, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away February 2, 2017 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg, Idaho. Michael was born June 18, 1948 in Spokane, Washington. He was the son of Robert Sheldon and Catherine Dekett.

Michael attended and graduated from Rodgers High School in Spokane, Washington. After graduation he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Michael served during the Vietnam War. In 1980 Michael was honorably discharged from the Marines and went to work as a master woodworker. He owned and operated Silver Valley Custom Comfort Construction Company for several years.

Michael met and fell in love with his forever family in February 2004. On November 11, 2011 Michael was united in marriage to Erin Delaney in Kellogg, Idaho.

In his free time Michael enjoyed playing darts, working in his woodshop, and spending time with his family. He also had a love for the outdoors and could be found fishing, boating and camping.

Michael is survived by his wife Erin of Kellogg, Idaho; five children Megan (Justin Herrold) Delaney, Michael Jr., Donita, Michelle and Heather; siblings Skip Sheldon, Ed Sheldon, Sherrie Coons, Sandra Beach, Terri Rodve, and Frank Wanecek; three grandchild Rachel, Michael and Grace and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his in-laws Jim and Sharen Bonds and many extended family members. Michael is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Catherine and his two siblings Martin Sheldon and Diane Marchione.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00P.M. at the St. Rita's Catholic Church - 25 Kellogg Ave. Kellogg, Idaho 83837
