KPD Roll Call: Feb. 13 to Feb. 20
• Received call from Kellogg Pet MC inquiring about what he should do about three dogs that were left at their facility. Supposedly the client owes KPMC money for services on the dogs. I called and left a voice mail explaining that we cannot make the client pay them and that he would have to contact pet rescue for the three dogs.
• Received call about a fire at the Trail Motel. A dryer had caught on fire, only damage was to the dryer and some smoke in some of the rooms. Cleared assisted the Fireman (not really, we were just in their way).
• Suspicious persons call on Oregon. Person with a backpack and wearing dark clothing. Cleared UTL.
• Motorist assist at Conoco. Cleared public assist.
• Welfare check on the 300 block of maple street, Cleared code 4.
• Parking ticket for a truck blocking a fire hydrant on the corner of riverside and division.
• Issued a misdemeanor citation to an adult male for DWP.
• Bob did his first arrest report. Yeah BOB.
• Happy Hallmark, I mean Valentine’s Day!
• Paperwork.
• Traffic stop on W Cameron for speed, verbal.
• Attempted to contact adult male again to ask him about the bruising on his child’s head that is probably nothing serious. He’s more than likely hiding somewhere in the county or his wife, who’s attempting to get the NCO removed, is hiding him in their house.
• Traffic accident at Utah and Cameron. FI sent up.
• Traffic accident in the Cameron Conoco parking lot that occurred last night. Paperwork will be done tomorrow.
• Traffic stop for stop sign. Verbal.
• Patrol meeting.
• Patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.
• Report of Hydrocodone pills stolen from Railroad Ave. Filed OF report.
• ATL on a suicidal female, making threats of suicide by using drugs. An attempt to locate was put out county wide.
• Bob wrote some more practice citations. Practice makes perfect.
• Mobile patrols in Kellogg and Wardner. Very wet night and roads.
• Bob is feeling a little under the weather, but he will pull up his big boy pants and still come to work.
• Patrolled the slick side streets. The convex ice almost sent me into multiple cars while only going 5 mph.
• Located the ATL from last night. She’s code 4 and is refusing medical care. Her family has been notified. She was with Justin Parnell last night at the trail motel. His phone number was updated in-house.
• Bob, if you got me sick, I’m slashing your tires.
• Ran paperwork up to the PA’s office.
• Updated the father of the runaway. PA is moving forward with charges.
• Paperwork.
• Special thanks to my new vehicle partner BOB for putting Danika (their patrol vehicle) in the shop... leaving me to drive the puppy wagon for the beginning of the shift.
• Called to Silver Valley Tire for felony malicious injury to property. Suspect seen walking on W Cameron around 22:22 hours. I contacted ACE to see their security camera footage as well.
• ATL on an adult male, mother said he has been gone for a couple days now. If you see him bring him home, his P.O. will handle it from there.
• Assist Osburn PD with attempting to locate subject in possession of a borrowed vehicle. I ran a driver’s check and by the time I was notified to contact the person, they were no longer where they were last seen. Unable to locate after receiving the information — vehicle not currently stolen, requested to tell them to return the vehicle.
• Continuation of Evidence/Cataloging/Storage maintenance.
• Running cars back and forth w/K71.
• Called to KMS for threats against staff. Cleared report taken.
• Called to MP 51 Eastbound on ramp. Baby moose on the riverbank eating alder berries. Looks like the moose crosses the river and walks alongside the riverbank and has done so the last couple weeks. So far, no interest of the interstate.
• While on the moose call K76 noticed a couple used syringes. I didn’t know diabetics had such interests to go under the bridge and hang out... the needles were placed in a sharps container in the rig. Cleared hazard.
• Home alarm at 100 Block of Mission Ave, all windows and doors were locked nothing looked like it was pried or jarred out of place. Cleared building secured.
• Spoke with the other half of the hit and run and was able to get his insurance information. Supplement is finished and ready to hand over to county.
• Called to Amy Lynn’s for vehicle leaking gas. Instructed the owner to have it fixed as soon as possible. Cleared public assist.
• Mobile patrols in Kellogg and Wardner.
• Dog running at large, picked up by citizens at Yoke’s. Dog taken to the pound, information on the tag shows an address in Mullan, Idaho (not to be confused with Mullan Avenue). No in-house information on possible owners (Pinehurst animal tag from 2014). “Maggie” is the dog’s name.
• Two verbal warnings for parking on Main in Wardner. One left right away after being there for 15 minutes. The other had issues getting in and out of driveway (had to be pulled out of driveway due to ice - in the process, ripped out part of their fence). Advised to contact City Council to see if an exception can be made at certain times.
• Traffic stop on Division/Railroad - educated driver on proper use of accelerator – Verbal.
• Traffic stop on Cameron/Hill - Verbal for headlight (has the equipment for replacement inside vehicle).
• Citizen contact 3000 block of McKinley - just out for a walk, nothing taking place.
• Called to 300 block of S. Division for complaint of garbage in the yard. The resident of the house said her husband will take care of it when he comes home from work. Cleared verbal warning.
• Released dog from pound.
• Called to Trail Motel for uncooperative tenant. Upon arrival found out male suspect has warrant in Shoshone County. Cleared misdemeanor arrest.
• Usual patrol and wave on the streets of Wardner and Kellogg.
• 911 Mis-dial on Maple Ave, cleared code 4
• Subaru parked in handicap spot at Amy Lynn apartments. Verbal for the driver to not park in handicap parking.
• Patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.
• Traffic stop for no headlights, driver just didn’t turn them on, verbal.
• Bob went over Drug Schedules in the law bible.
• Watched the neighborhood moose imagine his good ol’ days down on Teeters field.
• Mobile patrol of Kellogg and Wardner.
• Stationary patrol early this morning on E Cameron, no fun was had.
• Noise complaint at the Amy Lynn’s. Tenant was enjoying Justin Bieber way too loud.
• Call to father/son dispute, on Cameron Ave. cleared 10.
• Yet another call about the moose in someone’s backyard. He was just resting from a hard day playing in Teeters Field. We let him rest.
• Petit theft call for county, we checked the mill for county but unable to locate, county assist.
• Assisted K-77 at Best Shotz for another petit theft call. K-77 started report.
• Ran paperwork up to the S.O. for the two in-custody.
• Lead on the burglary on S. Division.
• I found this hard smooth black stuff on some of the road ways in Kellogg while patrolling this weekend. As the weekend went on I was able to find more of it. Glad to see pavement again and so are my kidneys.
• A walking domestic call on McKinley Ave. Was able to locate both persons involved and cleared with an Arrest.
• Collected evidence provided for that burglary.
• Fairbridge advised about a vehicle parked in their lot. They wanted to know if it’s stolen, it’s not, so they’re going to tow it.
• Dealt with a drunk naked dude, at 8:30 a.m. Way too early to deal with that. A call Bob should have had to handle.
• Assist County in Smelterville with a possible Burglary in progress. Cleared after county arrived.
