Margaret B Legard age 106 passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, Feb 18, 2017 in Rathdrum, ID

Margaret was born to Albert and Amanda (Huseby) LaCombe on June 27 , 1910 at Bemidji, Minnesota. She was the oldest of 6 siblings. The family moved to Spokane, WA in 1922, then St. Maries, ID in 1925. She was in the class of 1928 at St Maries High School. This is where she met her future husband Allen Legard. They married at St Mary's Catholic Church in 1928. Margaret and Allen were happily married for 77 years until Allen's death in 2005. They had four children Jack(Nancy), Jim(Pat, deceased), Jerry (Gloria) and Jeanne, deceased (Frank) and they also raised Margaret's youngest sister, Marilyn.

She led a full happy life traveling around the country with Allen enjoying many happy hours gathering wood, huckleberries, gardening and spending winters at the Salton Sea as snowbirds with a whole host of their family members.

Marg is survived by her 3 sons, youngest sister, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 33 1/2 great great grandchildren, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a lovely kind person who always had a beautiful smile for everyone. She may be gone from our sight but her spirit will be with us until we meet her again. Greater than the sadness is the gratitude for her presence in our lives and knowing she is at peace and reunited with Al. He was not only her husband but her best friend. They are together forever now.

Special thanks to the staff at Generations Assisted Living for taking care of Marg this last year.
