June 28
0338 EMS crews responded to SMC for return trip transport of patient back to Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Silverton.
1720 Fire crews responded to a wildland fire to the south of Kellogg. Crews from IDL helped extinguish the fire that rekindled from a previous controlled burn.
1913 Fire and EMS crews responded to apartment building in Wallace for report of smoke in building. Crews arrived on scene with nothing showing from the exterior. Promptly completed a quick search of first and second floor apartments. One occupant was found to be cooking hamburger on the stove and… well let’s just say it got a little well done. Occupant was ventilating the apartment with the use of windows and fans. All units cleared, returned to quarters.
June 29
0833 EMS crews responded to the area of East Mullan Ave in Osburn for medical. Patient was treated and transported to SMC by ambulance.
1134 Responded to Silver Valley Road behind old Vinnie’s Body Shop to investigate an unauthorized burning complaint. The property caretaker was asked to extinguish the unauthorized burn pile and informed not to burn the remaining debris.
June 30
0114 EMS responded to Wallace Inn for a patient having a seizure. Crew treated and transported to SMC.
0602 EMS responded to Lookout Pass for a vehicle vs deer crash. The vehicle won. Two occupants did not have any apparent injuries and refused transport to hospital after crew treated their minor cuts.
1441 Report of a fire next to Interstate 90 at Milepost 46. Units found two areas 75 by 75 on fire. Idaho Dept of Lands provided mutual aid.
1703 EMS crews responded to Alahambra Rd in Kellogg for a patient who injured their shoulder during a bicycle crash. Crew met bike patrol and patient on scene, patient decided against being transported to the hospital.
1802 Fire responded to Nuchols Gulch Rd for a possible log on fire. Crew found a small log smouldering and quickly extinguished. As wildfire season is upon us we can never be too careful. Thank you for calling it in.
1918 Units were dispatched for a 51 year old female who was having seizures. The patient was transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation.
2136 EMS responded to Bank St for a patient with possible broken hand. Crew treated and transported to SMC.
2256 EMS responded to Bank St for a patient experiencing abdominal pain. Crew treated and transported to SMC.
July 1
1607 Fire and EMS crews dispatched to the Fairview Inn for a medical emergency. The patient was assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
2014 Fire and EMS crews dispatched to the Kellogg Police department for a female needing medical attention. Patient assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
July 2
0440 EMS responded to SMC for a patient transfer to KMC for a patient with abdominal pain. Crew treated and transported.
1053 EMS crews responded to Bullrun area off Trail of the Coeur d’Alene’s for a patient who fell off their bike and sustained minor injuries. Rose Lake QRU was first on scene and provided excellent initial treatment. EMS crews transported the patient to Kootenai Health where the patient was in great spirits and a very stable condition. It was a good thing the patient was wearing a helmet!
1607 Fire and EMS crews responded to Montgomery Gulch for a rollover accident. The driver of the vehicle was found hanging by her seatbelt and was removed by Fire personnel. The victim was not injured due to the seatbelt use.
1802 EMS crews responded to Mullan for a patient with an unknown illness. After evaluation of the patient and consultation with doctors at Shoshone Medical Center, it was deemed necessary to transport the patient to Kootenai Health.
July 3
0848 Fire and EMS crews dispatched to Main St in Smelterville for a medical emergency. The patient was assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.
1046 Fire and EMS crews dispatched to S. Division in Pinehurst for a medical call. The patient was assessed but refused transport to the hospital.
1151 Fire and EMS responded for a patient transfer from the hospital to the patient’s residence. Fire crews met the ambulance on scene to assist in moving the patient from the cot back into his bed.
1455 EMS crews responded to Pinehurst for a patient who had suffered a fall. EMS crews quickly treated and transported the patient to SMC. The patient was in great spirits the entire transport!
1556 Fire crews dispatched to I-90 for a fire on the side of the road between Cataldo and the Mission. Fire to be approximately tenth of an acre fire contained and turned over to Idaho Department of Lands.
1628 Dispatched for MVA I-90 MP 52. Canceled by law enforcement. A tool box had fallen out of a pickup.
July 4
0054 Dispatched to I-90 for a motor vehicle accident patient assessed and stated he was fine just fell asleep and had no injury. Patient not transported. Remember to stay safe when driving home late at night.
0139 Dispatched to I-90 for an unknown injury accident. I-90 inspected for accident nothing found all fire personnel cleared and returned to quarters.
1100 Personnel took part in the Kellogg 4th of July Parade, and activities at the park. When nightfall approached fire protection measures were put in place for the community fireworks show.
1649 Dispatched to McKinley Ave in Kellogg for a motorcycle accident. Patient was treated at the scene and transported to SMC by ambulance.
2000 Watched fireworks at McGillivray yard in Osburn. Amazing turnout and amazing show! Huge thank you to Mayor McGillivray and everyone who participated. Happy Independence Day, everyone.
2032 Fire and EMS responded to Wallace for elderly male with chest pain. Awesome response from volunteers coming from home. Treated, transported to SMC.
2200 Fire personnel extinguished a pile of discarded used fireworks casings along McKinley Ave. Another example of someone irresponsibly discarding their illegal and legal fireworks
2241 Fire and EMS crews responded to a fire in the McGillivray dumpster. Fire was being extinguished as we rolled up. Insert chop-busting safety comments here.
