Ronald “Ron” James Frank, 67 years young.

| July 20, 2017 2:14 PM

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Ronald James Frank, 67, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away July 18, 2017. He was born June 13, 1950 in Wallace, Idaho. Ron was the son of Charles Frank and Dolores (Prewitt) Tuula.

He graduated from Kellogg High School in 1969. When asked about college, he let everyone know he went to the school of “Hard Knocks.”

On September 26, 1970 Ron was united in marriage to Dawn Hibbert in Kellogg. In the LDS Idaho Falls Temple on January 29, 1972 they were sealed for time and all eternity. Together they raised 5 children and his legacy now includes 5 more children (married to his 5 children) and 17 grandchildren plus a soon to be grand-daughter in-law.

Ron was a lifelong Silver Valley resident. Taking after his father who was known as “Roundhouse Charlie” he worked at Bunkerhill and as a hoist operator at the Consil Mine. He was introduced to the industry of business equipment working for Bruce Johnson and for over the past 30 years, Ron owned and operated ABC Business Equipment.

Ron loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, going to car shows, grooming trails throughout Shoshone County, volunteering with the Shoshone County Sherriff’s Posse, snowmobiling, jet skiing, hunting with his boys, collecting bottles, working on cars and jeeps, serving in Boy Scouts, and helping everyone he knew or even just met. Ron was known to many for his hugs, a kiss on the cheek, a roll of spearmint Breath Savers, and always carrying his pocket watch. He was a true example of service and Christ like love. If you knew Ron, you knew kindness.

Ron is survived by his Eternal Companion, Dawn Frank; his five children Brent (Valerie) Frank, Darin (Sarah) Frank, Jayson (Natalie) Frank, Ryan (Carrie) Frank, and Alycia (Tyler) Seely; seventeen grandchildren Trenton (Stephanie), Tyler, Mackenzie, Baylee, Bryson, Charlie, Preston, Allie, Jagger, Cooper, Chloe, Reese, Ryker, Ruby, Ella, Sophia and Justus. He is also survived by his brother Robert and several nieces and nephews, Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Frank and Dolores Tuula and sister Barbara Gene.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 24th, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kellogg High School. Following the service, burial will take place at Shoshone Memorial Gardens.

In Ron’s Honor, the family would like his Comanchero friends to wear their car club t-shirts. For those involved in Boy Scouts, we would be honored if you would wear your scout uniforms.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shoshone County Snowmobile Trail Groomer Advisory Board Attn: Snowmobile Trail Groomer Fund 700 Bank Street Wallace, Idaho 83873
