Cd'A woman dies in crash near N. Fork of Cd'A River

COEUR D’ALENE— Idaho State Police (ISP) reports that a 23-year-old Coeur d’Alene woman was killed Saturday as a result of an SUV crash near the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River.
At approximately 7:03 p.m., Duane A. Zwiers, 27, of Coeur d’Alene was driving a 2004 GMC Envoy down Forest Service Road 209 when he failed to negotiate a left curve at milepost 2.
The vehicle then went over a roughly 20-foot embankment and struck a tree.
The passenger, Rebecca J. Zwiers, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.
Both occupants were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the incident.
ISP is continuing their investigation
