01:41 Fire and EMS responded to Wardner for a male patient who was hallucinating. Pt was assessed and refused transport to SMC.

16:38 EMS crews responded to 7th St. in Silverton for a patient transfer to SMC. Crew treated and transported.

05/26/2017

12:09 Fire personnel responded to Residence St. in Wallace for report of a smell of natural gas. Crew searched area but was unable to find anything. Better safe than sorry.

14:48 EMS responded to milepost 64 eastbound for a motorcycle crash. Patient was very lucky and sustained no life threatening injuries thanks to her smarts in wearing a helmet. HELMETS SAVE LIVES! The helmet sustained significant damage, we can’t imagine how different the circumstances would have been if they didn’t wear their helmet.

07:23 Fire crews responded to WB I-90 milepost 50 for an oil spill. The oil was covered with absorbent and the scene handed over to Law Enforcement.

10:00 Fire and EMS crews attended the Fly and Drive in at Shoshone County Airport. Very good event, job well done by all involved in organizing the event.

11:40 Fire and EMS crews responded Alhambra Drive area for a reported bicycle accident on the Silver Mountain trail. While awaiting the arrival of the initial patient, crews were notified of a second accident just below them. The second patient was assessed and found only minor injuries, the patient’s mother did not want the patient transported. The initial patient was transported by Ski Patrol to Slaughterhouse Gulch to rendezvous with EMS crews, she was transported to SMC. While at SMC crews found the county’s other ambulance that had taken a skier from Silver mt.

12:00 EMS crews responded to the base of Silver Mt. for a skier with an ankle injury to her left leg. Patient had deformity to her lower left leg with extreme pain. Patient was transported to SMC for further testing and treatment.

15:37 Fire and EMS crews responded to a report of an ATV crash in the Osburn area. Patient sustained major injuries as result of the crash. Patient was treated on scene and airlifted to Kootenai Health by Lifeflight for further testing and treatment.

01:01 Fire crews responded to a reported structure fire at 308 1st Street in Pinehurst. Found the problem to be unattended food items left on the stove. Used positive pressure ventilation to remove the smoke from the structure.

04:07 EMS crews responded to Silverwood Village in Silverton for a patient with an unknown illness. Patient was lethargic and not responding as usual self. Crews assessed patient and transported patient to SMC for further testing.

12:39 Fire and EMS responded to Alhambra Road area of Kellogg for male involved in a bicycle accident with a possible wrist injury called in by Silver Mountain Patrol. The patient’s injury had been immobilized by patroller’s prior to him getting off the hill. His father refused any further care and ambulance transport.

16:30 Fire and EMS responded to Riverside Avenue area of Kellogg for a female who had fallen and possibly broke her hip. The Patient was treated for the potential injury and transported to SMC for further care.

06:51 Dispatched to Pine creek for an unknown medical emergency patient was assessed and transported to Shoshone medical center for further evaluation and treatment.

15:16 EMS crews responded to Dairy Rd. for domestic, and patient evaluation. Patient was assessed and refused transport by ambulance. Patient went to SMC by personal vehicle. All units cleared the scene, returning to quarters.

16:05 EMS crews responded to King street in Wallace for breathing difficulty. Patient was treated and assisted into son’s vehicle to be transported to SMC for further testing. Medical cleared, returning to quarters.

19:11 A citizen called into stating she could smell a egg smell in the air. One engine and a chief responded to the Pinehurst. Crews used a 4-gas monitor was used to find the smell was coming from a battery being overcharged. all fire personnel cleared the scene.

22:15 Dispatched to Smelterville, for an assault victim. Patient was assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

02:59 EMS crews responded to Nine Mile Rd. for patient with stroke like symptoms. Patient was treated and transported to SMC by ambulance.

13:20 EMS crews responded to Cedar Street in Wallace to assist a patient with shortness of breath. Patient was treated onscene and transported to SMC for advanced treatment and testing.

01:14 EMS crews responded to the area of Burke canyon to assist a patient who was unable to stand. Patient was assisted, pt refused transport.

15:55 EMS crews responded to the north frontage road in wallace for a UTV accident. EMS crews treated and assessed the occupants. Patient refused transport.
