KPD Roll Call 5/30-6/6

•Placed an adult female on a protective custody hold as she was becoming a danger to herself.

•Called to trash and other debris dumped at the Galena Ridge golf course. I was able to contact owner of said trash and he unaware that his trash was dumped anywhere other than the transfer station. He told K73 that he had hired a young man to take the trash to the “dump”. K73 was able to locate said young man and was told that he in turn had someone else pick up the trash from the house to take it to the dump. But this young man still took responsibility, located the trash, and cleaned it up. KUDOS.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner

•Traffic stop Cameron and Hill- verbal warning for too many lights to front of vehicle.

•Traffic stop Cameron and Hill- verbal warning (headlight, studded tires, expired Driver’s License).

•Traffic stop Cameron and Price- verbal warning for taillight (was able to fix it on the stop).

•Traffic stop Division and Market- verbal warning front license plate display.

•Traffic stop Maple and E. Portland- verbal warning studded tires. Cite and release for driving without privileges (suspended). Report generated and completed.

•The Chief has started blight patrol for the year and has located several yards that need mowed. Notices will be mailed to the home owner and delivered to the occupants.

•Kellogg, as of May 31, has over 15 yards that need attention. Kellogg does have an ordnance on over grown grass and weeds that also covers the keeping of unlicensed and none running vehicle and parts and other debris.

•Did a VIN inspection on a nice Harley.

•K71 fixed the trim molding over the left tire on 613, had some trouble getting the plastic stays to take hold, Perfection Autobody was able to remedy the problem. Now if K76 will keep the speeds down it should stay on.

•Called to 300 block for Ohio Ave cleared public assist.

•Called to 100 block, for neighborly dispute. Cleared peace restored.

•Traffic stop on Cameron Avenue. Cleared verbal.

•Traffic stop on McKinley Avenue. Cleared verbal.

•Traffic stop on Hill Street. Cleared public assist.

•Mobile Patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•H.I.N inspection.

•K-73 found a car with Corinthian Leather. Ricardo would be proud.

•County assist on crash on freeway, helped with traffic, cleared assist.

•Parking complaint on Elder Ave.

•Paper service on Railroad, cleared paper served.

•Arrested an adult male on his warrant while K76 was at it, he cited him for speed, eluding, and invalid license.

•Traffic stop on Hill St for headlight and Brake light out. Cleared verbal.

•Made sure the cemetery gate was open.

•Got some time at the range early this morning.

•Boot did great at the range.

•Custodial interference. Cleared no action taken.

•GOATS AT LARGE... that’s right, the goats of Riverside had gotten out of their yard and discovered the grass was much greener on the other side. With the assistance of 1226 the goats were brought back into their yard safe and sound.

•Traffic stop on Hill Street. Cleared verbal warning.

•Boot was taken out of the city to learn some of the county, as he is an over the hill guy he needs to learn how big the county really is.

•County Assist on a domestic call.

•Small car crash on main street (I’m assuming when Boot wrote that in his brief that he meant a crash with little damage. Not two small cars crashing into each other, but you never know with Boot).

•Traffic control at Cameron and Jacobs gulch for the high school graduation, people were very patient!

•Congratulation to all the Silver Valley High school graduates.

•Motorist assist on McKinley Avenue. Cleared public assist.

•Traffic stop on E Cameron Avenue. Cleared verbal.

•Traffic stop on W Cameron Avenue. Cleared verbal.

•Child disturbance 400 block of Brown Avenue. Cleared peace restored.

•County assist at Mp 49 I-90 for a vehicle crash. Cleared assist.

•Called to the 100 block of Mullan for a report of a stolen hose.

•Boot had a phone call from a woman stating she wanted a place she could go for the night like a laundromat or 24 hr store. Boot told her about Walmart and offered her a ride to Smelterville. Contact was made at the Hill Street Conoco, where she had a change of heart and refused a ride. Even after we told her that Boot was really old enough to drive, she still refused.

•On the way back from Wallace, we assisted county with moving an elk from the roadway.

•Assist county with Domestic up Sunny Slopes– canceled before arriving on scene.

•Boot is now on grave yard shift with K74. K74 will be working on his right arm moon tan.
