Tina Marie (Hurd) Payton, 53

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Tina Marie (Hurd) Payton, 53, of Smelterville, Idaho, passed away June 4, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Medical Center of Spokane, Washington. She was born April 12, 1964 in Grand Junction, Colorado; Tina was the daughter of Johnny Howard and Cathie Ellen (Wise) Hurd.

Tina moved to the Silver Valley with her family as a young girl in 1966. She attended and graduated from the Kellogg High School in 1983. Tina also received her Associates Degree from the Colorado Technical Institute.

Tina married Rodney Payton on July 21, 1998 in Utah.

After their marriage, Tina traveled with her husband Rodney, who served in the U.S. Air Force, throughout the United States. Tina had held many managerial positions with different businesses in many cities, while traveling. Here in the Silver Valley, she owned and operated her own cleaning business and had also served as a bartender at the Long Shot Saloon of Kellogg.

Tina loved and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, gardening, camping, crafts and retail therapy. She was an avid Seahawks fan.

Tina had a heart of gold and would always put others before herself; she was always willing to help anyone.

Tina is survived by her beloved husband Rodney Payton of the family home of Smelterville, Idaho; four children Stefanie and Jared Hanks of Osburn, Idaho, Lindsey Graves of Anchorage, Alaska, Joshua Payton of Mountain Home, Idaho and Jerrica Payton also of Mountain Home; eight grandchildren with one on the way Tyler, Mariah, Keirstin, Kadynce, Ella, Asher, Nikolai and Natalya; one brother Vince and Lori Hurd of Vidor, Texas. Tina was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Tina’s Life will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Silver Valley Worship Center of Smelterville, Idaho. A luncheon and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Church Fellowship Hall following services; this will be potluck and everyone is welcome.

The family wishes to suggest that memorials may be made to the Tina Payton Memorial Fund at any Silver Valley US Bank branch.
