Firehouse weekly 6/1-6/7

6/1/17-

15:18 Fire and EMS responded to Pinehurst for a Female patient who had fallen and possibly broken her arm. The patient was taken to SMC for treatment.

17:07 Fire and EMS responded to a one car accident while en route we were canceled

18:52 Fire and EMS crews responded to a medical call in Elizabeth park. One person was transported to SMC for additional care.

23:17 Fire and EMS crews responded to a medical emergency on Bunker Avenue in Kellogg. One person was taken to the hospital by ambulance

6/2/17-

00:18 Fire and EMS responded to a medical call in Kellogg. One person went to the hospital by POV

08:11 Fire and EMS responded to 2nd St in Pinehurst for a patient in need of lift assistance. The patient was assisted to a comfortable position. The patient will be following up with health care providers for a previous injury.

19:28 Fire crews were dispatched to milepost 59 WB for a vehicle fire. Crews arrived on scene to find a 4 door sedan fully engulfed in flames. Crew pulled a hose from their engine and put the wet stuff on the hot stuff and prevented any further damage. Crew had the fire knocked down in just over a minute and remained on scene for overhaul. Crews were glad no one was injured in this situation.

6/3/17-

03:42 Fire and EMS responded to Division St in Pinehurst for a law enforcement request for a patient evaluation.

18:04 Fire and EMS responded to a medical emergency in Moon Gulch. One person was taken to SMC.

19:26 Fire and EMS responded to 2nd St in Pinehurst for a patient with diabetic issues. The patient was assessed, treated and transported to SMC for further evaluation.

11:27 EMS crews responded to Kingston for a patient experiencing symptoms of a stroke. EMS crews treated the patient and transported to Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene.

19:43 EMS and Fire Crews were dispatched and canceled en route to a possible car crash at M.P. 64 on I-90. Crews were glad to hear that there was, in fact, no car crash with injuries.

6/4/17-

05:57 Fire and EMS responded to Ohio St in Pinehurst for a patient with hip and shoulder pain. The patient was assessed and transported to SMC for further evaluation.

20:11 EMS crews responded to the west side of Osburn for an unknown medical. When EMS crews arrived they discovered that the patient had been choking but successfully coughed up what was being choked on. EMS crews provided a “check up” for the patient and cleared the scene.

23:48 Fire and EMS responded to responded to the County Shop in Smelterville for a fire inside the building. Firefighters were able to able to gain entry and extinguish the fire before it spread to vehicles and other equipment. Considerable amount of smoke damage. Electrical services temporarily disconnected. Thanks to an attentive neighbor the fire was discovered while it was still small which saved a lot of equipment.

6/5/17-

16:21 EMS and Fire crews responded to Pine Creek for an elderly female with diabetic complications.

21:24 Fire and EMS responded to a medical on McKinley Ave . Upon arrival one person was checked by Medical. He said he was ok and did not want to go to the hospital

22:25 Fire and EMS responded to Pinehurst for a life alert activation. Upon arrival, the patient had just taken their hearing aids out. I apologized for waking them up and wished them a good evening.

6/6/17-

09:20 Fire and EMS responded to Received report of a patient with chest pain on W. Riverside Ave. in Kellogg. Patient was assessed, treated and transported to SMC.

19:03 Fire and EMS responded to a medical call for a Patient with abdominal pain on Main Street in Wardner. The patient was unable to get out of their chair to move about. Patient assessed and transported to SMC for further evaluation and care.

19:18 EMS responded to Main St. in Kellogg for a patient who was experiencing back pain. Crew treated patient and transported them to SMC for further evaluation.

20:14 EMS crews responded to Good Samaritan Home in Silverton for an emergency medical transfer to a hospice house in CDA.

6/7/17-

03:55 EMS crews responded to Brooks Hotel for a patient with altered mental status. Patient was treated and transported to SMC

Community CPR class will teach all age groups the tools of effective CPR on Sat. June 10th at 10 a.m. This is NOT a course designed to get a certification but a quick lesson to learn techniques to provide a life saving skill. This event is open to the public for no cost just a positive attitude and willingness to learn!
