Dex Alexander Parmentier, 72

Dex Alexander Parmentier, 72, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away June 13, 2017 in Hayden, Idaho. Dex was born April 1, 1945 in Libby, Montana. He was the son of Clarence and Dorothy (McLeod) Parmentier.

Dex was raised in Murray, Idaho. Dex worked as a logger and a miner. He also owned and operated Silver Valley Detail for a number of years. He most enjoyed working with and for his good friend Gust Almquist.

In his free time Dex enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a lover of all animals and was a very generous man who would help a stranger in need.

Dex is survived by the love of his life Rene Fausett; four children Tammy Gregg, Annette (Kevin) Chandler, Brian Parmentier, Lynn (Phil) Randazzo and a step-son Billy Shockley; a sister Sherry Nelson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Marsha and Tanna and his first wife Shirley Gillen.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 24, 2017 at 2:00p.m. at the Osburn VFW with a gathering to follow at the Midway in Osburn.
