Kellogg All-Class clean up day scheduled for next month
The Kellogg High School All-Class Reunion is set for this August, but before the big event happens the city needs a little TLC.
Reunion organizer Lori Sawyer has scheduled a clean up and paint day for July 22, to ensure that the city looks its best for the big event.
“It is going to be thousands coming into town and we want to welcome them back home and be looking our best they get here,” Sawyer said.
Sawyer already has plans to get a lot accomplished and is also planning on painting the bleachers at Teeters Field.
“We are going to be getting some help from the Idaho Servant Adventure kids who will begin painting the bleachers and then we will be meeting there at 9 a.m. to finish them. So make sure to bring paint rollers, trays, and brushes,” Sawyer said.
While the bleachers are the biggest project, Sawyer has found some tree trimming, garbage can painting, and general clean up of the streets and sidewalks.
Sawyer is looking for as many volunteers as she can get and would also like to challenge all of the Kellogg businesses and residents to get involved as well.
“I really want to encourage the business owners and homeowners of Kellogg to get in and take part in beautifying our city,” Sawyer said. “This event will be a lot of fun, but it will also be very beneficial to the city.”
The Kellogg High School All-Class Reunion is scheduled for August 11 through 13.
