Alfred Joseph Brown, 84

Alfred Joseph Brown, 84, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at 11:58 PM at Shoshone Medical Center, Kellogg, ID. He was born in Gloversville, NY on August 25, 1932 to Stewart and Lillian (Winterol) Brown. He joined the Navy in 1951 and spent three years as a POW in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1954.

When he returned home, he eventually ended up in the Silver Valley where he worked at the Bunker Hill and remarried. He lost his wife, Mariane, in 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Joseph and Stewart; stepchildren, Jim Schrieber, Marie Ulbright, Gene Rade, Nile Avery, and Ralph Pearhsor. There are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren – too many to count. He was loved by all.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’ Alene, ID followed by a Celebration of Life- gathering and potluck at The Wheel Bar in Smelterville, Idaho at 2:30 pm.
