6/22/17

01:47 Fire and EMS crews responded to a female with difficulty breathing on Mullan Ave. in Kellogg. Patient was assessed but refused ambulance transport.

05:58 EMS crews responded to Cypress in Wallace for a fallen and I can’t get up call. Patient was assisted back to feet, patient refused transport by ambulance. Crews cleared and returned to quarters.

08:10 Fire and EMS crews dispatched to 2nd Street in Wallace for a fall. Patient was helped up and moved to the couch as requested. Patient stated she did not need to go to the hospital just needed a hand up.

11:11 Fire and EMS crews dispatched to the boat check station on Highway 3 for a patient who had fallen. Patient was assessed and transported to Kootenai Health for further evaluation and treatment.

11:16 EMS crews responded to South Division in Pinehurst for patient experiencing chest pain. Patient was treated and transported by ambulance to SMC.

18:48 Fire and EMS crews responded to Elk Creek for a female that had fallen. The patient was assessed, assisted and monitored while at the scene. She refused transport for further care.

22:47 Fire and EMS crews responded to Elk Creek Road for a female patient feeling weak. The patient was assessed and treated then transported to SMC for further care.

02:47 EMS crews responded to Kindred Nursing in Kellogg for a diabetic coma patient. Patient was given LOTS of sugar through IV access and transported to SMC by ambulance and was waking up as we arrived.

13:37 Joint agency response for patient injured in Jeep Jamboree in Mullan. EMS were able to get to patient with the help of another Jeep. After about a 20 minute ride into where patient was located, EMS was able to make sure patient was stable and determine extent of injuries. With possible rib fractures and other internal injuries, patient was airlifted by Air One from location to ambulance crew. Patient agreed that a short helicopter ride would be much better than a jeep ride down the rough terrain. Patient was then transported to SMC by ambulance for further evaluation. A huge thank you to all agencies and personnel who assisted!

20:39 Emergency crews dispatched for a smell of natural gas in the area of mile post 1 on Big Creek. There was an odor present at the natural gas station. Avista was called to evaluate the situation.

07:27 Fire and EMS responded to Smelterville for a person who fell. Patient was helped up but did not want to go to the hospital.

09:36 Fire and EMS crews dispatched to Main St. in Smelterville for a possible stroke patient. The patient was assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

0312 EMS crews dispatched to Dairy Rd. in Wallace per law enforcement to check for injuries. 2 patients, both refused transport.

13:00 Drove the trucks in the Founder’s Day Parade in Wallace! Threw candy in the general direction of children and succeeded in not hitting them.

21:08 Dispatched to a report of smoke in the area of Killarny Lake. Fire crews responded and requested Idaho department of lands IDL for assistance.

22:54 Fire and EMS crews responded to Forest Service Road 209, Bumblebee Creek, for a report of a male that had fallen down an embankment 14 feet. The patient was assessed but refused treatment and transport by ambulance. He chose to get a ride to Kootenai Health instead.

11:53 EMS crews were dispatched to be on medical standby for law enforcement. Law enforcement requested the standby as they were handling a “threatening” snake near the walking trail. Arrived on scene in perfect time to take a picture of deputies “eliminating” the poor bull snake.

12:29 EMS crews were dispatched to Silverton for an unresponsive patient. When EMS crews arrived they were pleased to see the patient was responsive. EMS crews transported the patient to SMC for further evaluation.

12:42 EMS crews responded to the bike trail for a patient that was confused and laying on the ground. The patient was assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

14:49 Fire and EMS crews responded to a residence on Bunker Avenue, Pinehurst for a reported male with a breathing problem. The patient was conscious and alert and wanted transport to SMC. After assessment and treatment he was transported by ambulance.

17:00 Fire crews responded to the area of Deadwood Gulch for a reported brush fire. Found a slash pile had rekindled, extinguished fire with the assistance of Idaho Department of Lands.

17:43 Fire and EMS crews dispatched to Country Club Ln. for a traumatic injury. Patient assessed and transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.

18:50 Fire and EMS crews responded to West Mullan Avenue for a male patient who could not stand up. The patient was assessed and treated before being transported to SMC for further evaluation.

20:50 Fire crews dispatched to Canyon Rd. for powerlines down. Avista contacted and fire crews stood by for scene safety and traffic control.

21:00 Fire crews responded to downed power lines in Killarny Lake Road. Stood by by for Avista.

13:17 Fire and EMS crews responded to the east bound ramp at exit 49 I-90 for a welfare check. The patient was transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further treatment.

15:59 Fire and EMS crews responded to W Mullan Ave in Kellogg for a woman having breathing difficulty. The patient was transported to Shoshone Medical Center for further treatment.

19:59 EMS crews dispatched for a patient experiencing a fever and weakness. Patient was evaluated and transported to SMC for further testing and treatment.

21:04 Fire and EMS responded to Page for a male with chest pain. The patient was taken to SMC for treatment.

03:38 EMS crews responded to SMC for return trip transport of patient back to Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Silverton.

17:20 Fire crews responded to a wildland fire to the south of Kellogg. Crews from IDL helped extinguish the fire.

19:13 Fire and EMS crews responded to apartment building in Wallace for report of smoke in building. Crews arrived on scene with nothing showing from the exterior. Promptly completed a quick search of first and second floor apartments. One occupant was found to be cooking hamburger on the stove and… well let’s just say it got a little well done. Occupant was ventilating the apartment with the use of windows and fans. All units cleared, returned to quarters.

08:33 EMS crews responded to the area of East Mullan Ave. in Osburn for medical. Patient was treated by EMS and transported to SMC by ambulance.
