Margaret Louisa Guenther, 75

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Margaret Louisa Guenther, 75, of Wallace, Idaho passed away at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg on June 24, 2017. She was born April 20, 1942 in St. John’s, New Foundland, Canada.

Margaret lived in southern Ontario until the family settled in Cranbrook, British Columbia in the 1950s. She moved to the Silver Valley in 1997.

Margaret was united in marriage to Melvin Richard Guenther in January 1960 and they raised three children together. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Margaret was an Accountant and owned and operated her own accounting business. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and a member of the St. Alphonsus Alter Society, she is also a former member of the Catholic Daughters.

Margaret enjoyed sewing and working in her garden.

She is survived by her three children, daughter Shannon McMillan of Wallace, sons Jeffrey David (Tracy) Guenther of Cranbrook, BC and Christopher Joseph (LuDeanne) Guenther of Byron, Wyoming; her grandchildren James (Jessica) McMillan of Wallace, Gwen (Cody) Easum of Wyoming, Jeremiah (Lindsey) Guenther of Cranbrook, Christopher Guenther of Cranbrook, William Guenther of Byron, Wyoming, and Kathryn Margaret “Maggie” Guenther of Byron, WY; Margaret is also survived by 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son-in-law Kenneth Allan McMillan.

A Memorial Mass will be held on July 8, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wallace with a luncheon to follow in the church fellowship hall.
