Randy James Tarter, 25

Randy James Tarter, 25, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away January 9, 2017 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg, Idaho. He was born April 15, 1991 in Bellingham, Washington; Randy was the son of Michael Tarter and Michelle Assels.

Randy has lived in the Silver Valley for most of his life. He attended and graduated from the Kellogg High School in 2009.

Randy enjoyed and participated in Special Olympics. He loved and enjoyed his family, reading, swimming and anything Disney.

Randy is survived by his parents Dawn Michelle and Gene Oakes of Smelterville, Idaho; his maternal grandparents Chuck and Robin Assels of Osburn, Idaho (Grandpa Chuck and Randy were best friends); two step-sisters Kirsten Oakes and Tieara Oakes both of Janesville, Wisconsin; two half-brothers Ozzy Tarter and Judea Tarter both of Spokane, Washington; one half-sister Zoey Tarter of Kellogg, Idaho; two aunts Stacey Assels of Osburn, Idaho and Cassie Assels of Post Falls, Idaho; one uncle Charles and Jamie Assels of Kellogg, Idaho; his nieces and nephews Jessie Rogers, Addison Oakes and Hunter Oakes; his cousins Zoe Serrano and Caden Assels. Randy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and great-grandpa Jim Assels.

Memorial Services held March 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Osburn Christian Center in Osburn, Idaho and will be followed with a potluck meal.
