| March 11, 2017 2:00 AM

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Billee Lylo Howard, 79, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away six days before her 80th birthday on March 7, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society-Silver Wood Village of Silverton. She was born March 13, 1937 in Butte, Montana; Billee was the daughter of Burt and Blanche (Fowler) Sparks.

Billee married Delmer Howard on February 25, 1963 in Butte, Montana. They moved to the Silver Valley in 1964.

Billee loved her family, books and letter writing. Her passion was her flowers and gardening. From her little alcove in the corner of the house, she could look out in her yard at her beloved flowers, birdbath and one of the largest willow trees in the state of Idaho. Billee’s flower garden is a lasting and fitting memorial to a loving soul who saw and appreciated God’s creations in bees, flowers and trees. Her special kindness, consideration and generosity will endure in the hearts of family and friends.

Billee is survived by her loving husband Delmer Howard of the family home of Silverton, Idaho; three children Lola Meyer and Tom Collins of Page, Idaho, Kathy Walker of Kellogg, Idaho and Delmer A. Howard and Nancy Wickam of Wallace, Idaho; five grandchildren Felicia, Adrienne, Joseph, Dustin and Billy. Billee was preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law Bill Walker.

Upon Billee’s request no services will be held.

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff and nurses at the Good Samaritan Society-Silver Wood Village for the kindness and care that was shown to Billee.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA. 22215.
