Morgan J. Foster, 77

Morgan J. Foster, 77, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away on March 13, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Silverton . Morgan was born August 9, 1939 in Rexburg, Idaho; Morgan was the son of Stephen and Sarah (Delaney) Foster.

Morgan attended and graduated from the Wallace High School in 1957. He then went to work as a miner. Morgan worked at various mines throughout the years where he retired from the Galena mine in 2005. Morgan was very respected in his trade.

Morgan was a member of the Odd Fellows. In his free time he could be found fishing, hunting, doing crossword puzzles and reading. Morgan was a lover of all sports. If his kids were participating he was the number one fan. He was very much a family man and would do anything for them at a moments notice.

On October 3, 1959 Morgan was united in marriage to Carol Ann Reasoner his high school sweet heart at the Methodist Church in Burke. Together they raised four children.

Morgan is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Carol of Silverton; his children, Jeffrey J. (Andrea) Foster of Bremerton, Washington, James M. (Lisa) Foster of Draper, Utah, Dawn (Ron Stewart) McKinnon and Cory (Tonia) Foster of Mullan, Idaho; his siblings Tom Foster, Peggy Self and Lloyd Foster; 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Noral and Joseph.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2:00P.M. at the Methodist Church in Wallace following the service inurnment will take place at the Osburn Cemetery. A reception will follow being held at the Osburn VFW, this will be potluck.
