Allan V. Ruffier, 79

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Allan V. Ruffier, 79, of Silverton, Idaho, passed away March 13, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society-Silver Wood Village of Silverton. He was born March 25, 1937 at Providence Hospital of Wallace, Idaho; Allan was the son of Henry “Hank” and Mary (Cochran) Ruffier.

Allan has lived in Silverton all of his life. He attended and graduated from Wallace High School in 1955.

Allan married Nicolle Worsfold in September of 1980 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Nicolle passed away Aug. 8, 2016.

Allan had first worked at the Star Mine, until its closure. He then served as the maintenance supervisor at the Good Samaritan Society- Silver Wood Village for 20-plus years, until he retired.

He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He also enjoyed collecting minerals, rocks and crystals.

Allan is survived by two daughters, Susan Ruffier and John Jurkovich of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Anita and Dave Winters of Post Falls, Idaho; two sons, John Majors of Silverton, Idaho, Charlie and Connie Majors of Woodland, Wash.; five grandchildren, Heather St. Pierre of Hayden, Idaho, Cheryl Corwin of Kellogg, Idaho, Danielle St. Pierre of Post Falls, Idaho, Emily Majors and Elizabeth Majors both of Woodland, Wash.; he is also survived by several great-grandchildren and two nephews. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Joy Waters and his wife Nicolle Ruffier.

Private memorial services for family and friends will be held at the Silver Wood Chapel of the Good Samaritan Society of Silverton.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone Humane Society, P.O. Box 1005, Kellogg, Idaho 83837.
