Lillian Loraine Hayslip, 88

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Lillian Loraine Hayslip, 88, of Pine Creek, Idaho, passed away on March 18, 2017 at the Silver Wood Good Samaritan in Silverton, Idaho. She was born May 13, 1928 in Crandon, Wisconsin. Lillian was the daughter of William and Grace (Campbell) VanCleve.

Lillian moved with her family to the Silver Valley at a young age from Wisconsin. She has spent over 70 years living in the Silver Valley.

On January 26, 1946, Lillian was united in marriage to Jack Hayslip in Superior, Montana.

Lillian was a homemaker raising three children. She also did bookkeeping for her husband Jack, when he was a contract miner.

In Lillian’s free time she enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. with her husband Jack. She also enjoyed going to the casinos and was known to be quite lucky on the slot machine. She was an animal lover and especially loved her dog Toby.

Lillian is survived by her two children, Linda (J.C.) Warren and Jeff (Lori) Hayslip; her two sisters Myra (Skip) Caldwell and Janet (Alan) Barstow. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Hayslip, her son Jim Hayslip and siblings Lee VanCleve and Bonnie Jameson.

Cremation will take place and no services will be held per Lillian’s request.
