Marguerite Esther Charlotte (Bliesner) Gallaher, 96
Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marguerite Esther Charlotte Gallaher, 96, of Smelterville, Idaho, passed away March 9, 2017 at her home of Smelterville. She was born May 6, 1920 in Fairfield, Washington; Marguerite was the daughter of William and Marguerite (Badicke) Bliesner.
Marguerite married Woodfred “Woody” Gallaher on November 26, 1938 in Steptoe, Washington; Woody passed away on April 14, 1989.
Marguerite was a homemaker and has resided in the Silver Valley for seventy-eight years.
Marguerite was a member of the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg and a member of the Church Circle; she was also a member of the Grandmothers Club and had served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years.
Marguerite loved and enjoyed her family, her dog Sadie, her bird and her fish. She also enjoyed playing cards, gardening, baking, sewing, knitting and crocheting.
Marguerite is survived by four daughters Lorraine and Pete Stravens of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Beverly and Don Danielson of Kellogg, Idaho, Hazel and Dave Kieffer of Libby, Montana and Sandy and Dan Pavelich of Spokane, Washington; nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Woody, three brothers and three sisters.
A Celebration of Marguerite’s Life will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. at the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg with Rev. Ken Bartle officiating. A reception/dinner will be held in the Church Fellowship Hall following services.
